Yea I LOVE the Occultist, I think he's been on every team that I completed an act with.... but I will never, EVER, run him as my main healer. I use Wyrd only on tanks, or when my actual healer(Crusader, PD or Flag) has run out of heals. He starts chaining his 5 of less heals with bleeds and a fight can fall apart so fast. I honestly think if he just did one good heal you probably turn that whole fight around. Funnily enough, if you swap Vestal for Crusader this was the team I just beat Act 3 with on Tuesday. I use Lunge and Fleche though, I love me some dancing.
It's not bad rng. It's a comp with no dmg, low hp, rng-based dmg defenses, inconsistent/unreliable healing and no healing items equipped. Of course things go south with some level of bad rng. This is also a very good example of Chaplain Mantra doing nothing.
I'm not saying this comp would go the distance but it's still a fight with bad RNG. Dawg I have 1200 hours in this game and like to experiment, I'm not gonna run ravager and 3 MAA's every comp
I am always surprised how fast this game can be on a decent rig. Every run on my shitty laptop takes up to 5 or 6 hours just because the game stutters so much. Lmfao

Confessor honestly is just too slow with the conviction tokens. It was a good first attempt by Red Hook to make a debuff style path but it's just too underwhelming imo. Playing it will just leave you frustrated with it. Chaplain I actually like a lot though, I run it a lot on my streams. I have a video on how to play Chaplain that isn't too old I think if you wanted to watch that. The way I play it is in position 2, run hand of light/mace bash/sanctuary/mantra and then whatever you want for the 5th. I go divine comfort but you could run illumination or one of the consecration if you'd like. Either mace bash or mantra upgrade at the valley inn, depending on what you need most of her. She probably shouldn't be your only stress healer, but if you combine her with enough laudanum/spring water you MIGHT be able to make it work. Her being in the 2 rank allows her to get conviction tokens from being hit decently quick, and if you use sanctuary it's even quicker. Be really careful with how you use your conviction tokens and make sure you don't waste them by mace bashing when they don't have a dodge or guard cause you lose the tokens even if they don't have either. You can mace bash when you have 0 or 1 tokens but you're probably better off using sanctuary or hand of light. Hand of light seems underwhelming, and it kinda is, but it is a really nice setup move to clear tokens and give her a guard/strength token. She really takes off once you get profane scroll cause you can filter the hits into her, but she still works even without it imo, just a little less smoothly. Stone mount is nuts on her if you can get it
Seraph is still better I think cause the conviction tokens are nuts but chaplain is more fun and interactive. You can run rank 3 or 4 chaplain too, it works well if you have someone in front of her like Warlock or Soloist who's pretty squishy. Judgment/ministrations/divine grace/sanctuary/mantra
@@MrStinkels Wanderer is too slow also with the conviction tokens imo. I admittedly haven't tried too hard to make wanderer work though, I feel like in every situation seraph or manta is just better cause you have more control over them. This game honestly feels like it was specifically designed for MAA to have success, so I'm not sure there's any scenario ever that you'd run any tank over MAA. Crusader is similar but probably better than chaplain. Chaplain has a higher ceiling for damage than the 2 though imo, you can get 20-30 crits with chaplain, a strength token, and 3 conviction tokens. I think chaplain needs 1 or 2 tiny buffs and she could compete with MAA and crusader but yeah realistically they're better than her
Chaplain also very inconsistent compared to MAA and crusader unfortunately cause the ramp up she needs with conviction tokens. I'd say I have more fun with chaplain tbh but obviously that's subjective
