Just love it, I have bicycling with the singletrack jacket all winter to work. Now it's time to fire up the 790R and i'm ready for ADV's on the bike with this light weight jacket. Brilliant and adds value to it 👌🙌
@@adventurespec next best thing after being a superb do it all jacket was that the ladies at work really liked the jacket and asked for more info. It looks so tech'y so it draws attention among outdoorsy people. Now it's season again and i'm so excited to combined the Singletrack Jacket with the Mongolia jacket 🙌👌
Great looking jacket! My one criticism of these sorts of jackets is that there is no mesh liner to protect the waterproof fabric and seams. I've got the Mongolia and Linesman jackets, and both have tough fabric panels for slide protection- these eat through any waterproof outer jacket around the shoulder areas, so nothing lasts more than a year or two.
Hi awesome video. I have always thought you have to increase the sizing of the layers progressively, i.e. , an M mid layer and Mongolia Jacket and a L Single Track Jacket. After watching this video, I am now having second thought and may want to try an M Single Track Jacket. When will there be a pants version of the Single Track Jacket? Thanks.
Hi John, Magadan Mk2 are out of stock, the Magadan Mk3 are launching this Spring. Keep an eye on our newsletter for more updates on them www.adventurespec.com/subscribe Thanks
Absolutely, brilliant waterproof singletrack jacket. As my comments below when’s the new super shirt and other gear gonna eventually hit the website? Thanks Robert
Hi Greg, why are there, or say in all of the garment, only single stitched seems, than double or triple stitched ones for safety reasons? You keep mentioning the supershirt. When will it finally be available? (skip that, this spring... got it ^^) Third and last thing.... leave the reflectives completly then (not a good thing). I bet no cager will ever recognize those tiny stitched on reflective logos, or is it required for the CE-rating?
Am so dying to get the CE AAA-rated Supershirt and have the Singletrack jacket for heavy rain protection. How, does the new Singletrack differ from the previous generation? When does the Supershirt come out?
adventurespec 0 seconds ago Hi! This Singletrack Jacket is only different in colour and reflective materials. The Supershirt will be launched this Spring. 🙂
Nice and informative video. I’ve had the mk.1 edition of this jacket since July 2019, and I love it. However, since starting to use it over the Mongolia jacket this summer it has started leaking at belly area and up front below Kevlar patches. At first I suspected fabric failure, and it may actually be the Mongolia jacket wearing it from inside due to high friction values from the mesh and padded areas. Anyway it appears this otherwise excellent product needs both a more precise list of cleaning/washing and re- waterproofing instructions manual.
@@adventurespec I’ve used that feedback form to suggest a more detailed and precise washing and re-waterproofing procedure for AS-Tex products, and also suggested that this jacket gets a thin mesh inner liner to protect from abrasion damage caused by the coarse surface of the Mongolia, Atacama and Linesman jackets.
looking forward to seeing the Linesman pants. I sort of want the Atacama pants, but it kind of has a "garter belt / thigh high" look....please tell me i'm not the only one that's notice that.
Hi, thanks for the vid, you keep mentioning the super shirt, has this now been launched, I did apply for the special offer 50% off promotion that was subsequently pulled. Keen to know where you are with this now. Also are you any nearer to creation a water proof over trouser to go over my mongolia pants?
Greg, if you wear an armored shirt, and you were to add one jacket over it, which jacket is the best all around jacket? Meaning if I also want to ride some miles on the road to get to the trails, and I need protection, some warmth, and water resistance.
Hi Chris. We don't make an all in one jacket. Our approach is layering, so you wear what you need when you need it. There's no point wearing a waterproof jacket if it's not raining. For me, my Linesman Jacket gets the most year round use in the UK. If it's raining I put an Aqua Pac Jacket over the top. If it's cold I put a Baltic Insulated underneath.
HI Greg is the new model of Singletrack different only in colour and reflective strips or there are other improvements in zips etc ?? thanks also i can't find the Supershirt in your catalogue is that meant to come out soon??
Hi @mgpaolo the fit will be different for everyone depending on arm length, our measurements for the jacket are here: www.adventurespec.com/blog/tracks-1/how-our-sizing-works-35 Thanks
Hi @@adventurespec thanks for the answer but I meant whether the sleeves of the rain jacket in size XL are the same length or shorter than those of the Mongolia jacket in size XL. I would be interested to know
The Singletrack Jacket is not CE rated for protection as it is a waterproof over jacket. The Kevlar panels add extra durability however we do not recommend you use this as your only means of protection. The Mongolia Jacket on the other hand is rated CE AA and offers a high degree of both impact and abrasion protection. We have seen a version of the Mongolia / Atacama Jacket used and crashed in the Dakar Rally by Lyndon Poskitt and it did its job of protecting him and making sure he could continue the rally. It's a tough bit of kit.
How much will be a armoured shirt plus that singletrack jacket? What... 500£?! and than have a look on what comparable products would cost and you'll easily be around 700£ to 1400£ (stuff from Klim for example)
Wouldn’t/couldn’t buy Klim gear, it’s just too much money for me but come on that single track jacket is just way way too much? No protection from a fall at all and would probably have to be thrown away after the first fall anyway. Look I’m not saying it’s not nice product just that there are cheaper and probably just as good products out there for less money. Just my opinion not trying to offend anyone 👍
@@iangriffiths9930 all good lad, me neither! I can just imagine that that jacket with its reinforced sleeves is going to survive in a crash than a 10 bucks rain jacket from ebay or Amazon
I tried a singletrack. No matter how, uhh, gingerly I zipped up, the zipper got stuck in the fabric. It was a royal pain in the ass. I've zipped up lots of jackets in my 52 years. This is the only one that would stick the way it did. It got returned. I think the reason is the fabric behind the zipper is very thin. I even had to have my wife help me out of it once. I wonder if I got a bum jacket? I'd love to try another, but...
Hi Jim, thanks for the feedback. We actually have an area online you can make suggestions if you'd like? They go straight to HQ www.adventurespec.com/product-development
