Thanks for this. It's interesting to get the view of a person living in South Korea. Here in the UK, the BBC reported that North Korean soldiers had been sent to Russia, which is certainly worrying, but as you say, it's difficult to know who to believe. I just hope we all stay safe! 🤞
It's not difficult to know who or what to believe at all and that's usually the exact opposite of what mainstream media reports/presents to you. Especially the BBC and their 77th Brigade scripts they are given.
I do hope there won't be a war in Korea...its always the normal everyday people that suffer. And south Korea has achieved so much in these 70 years of peace. Thank you for your thoughts on this situation.
@@lemonsarejuicy8817But the Russian invasion on the Ukraine changed the situation and the views on starting and conducting wars in the modern era. It showed that even in the times of nuclear weapons there can be still wars conducted conventionally, with other types of weapons, also by states having such weapons.

The news and media here, BBC, SKY etc just cannot be relied upon to present the facts without putting their own spin on events - your take on the other hand seems to be the authentic voice of the “the average Korean man” even though you personally are very far from being “ average”. I may be wrong but I have always been lead to believe that the USA has a very strong bond with South Korea and that in times of trouble you would have the immediate support of the most powerful nation on earth and if that is so I very much doubt that things will ever escalate. South Korea is a model of modernity and technological innovation harnessed to a truly unique cultural identity and history and it is for the free world to to let it be known that it will stand with South Korea should it ever be seriously threatened. You speak English remarkably well and your presentation is a pleasure to watch, whatever the topic. 🇰🇷🇬🇧.
It wasn't scary when I was living in SK in the 60's and 70's because NK was doing as good as SK but now NK is desperate and more radical. It's a scary time for SK and Japan.
By the way, for instance Japan still, since the WW II, has the unsolved territorial conflict with Russia over the Kuril Islands. Recently, some more times, Russians, like Dmitry Medvedev (one of the main acomplices of Putin), was even saying and writing in the social media threats towards Japan.

The US military presence in South Korea is the largest and best armed in the world, 2nd only to the obvious U.S. bases. So, yes, US is well aware of what is going on there and their presence greatly lessens the likelihood that NK would attack SK. NK is irresponsible and Kim is not the brightest leader, but he knows what will happen to NK if he makes such a stupid move. You can bet that the US military has eyes on the Ukraine-Russia situation and if Kim dares to send NK troops into that mess, they won’t be there for long, if you know what I mean.
I appreciate this post. I had not heard this and I think it's alarming and of serious concern. Our news is so segmented here in the US (and divided with our current election) that many people are tuning out the traditional news sources. I'm going to keep a better on this. I enjoy your channel.

I had heard about N.Korea sending troops to Russia. Frankly, it was someone who thought it was funny. I did NOT laugh! It was only a few days later that I heard that Jk from BTS would not be exiting the military when expected, due to the higher than normal possibility of war with N.Korea. You are right. This is very serious. It seems to me, that the whole world is sitting on the edge of war. God help us.
Either South Korea or North Korea would never declare a war all by itself. Each needs to consult the superpower behind them, the USA or China, before it decides anything. If a war happens, that means the USA or China feels that a war is needed to erode the power of the other.

After visiting South Korea earlier this year, I completely fell in love with the country and had plans to apply for a scholarship to pursue my master’s degree there within the next year or two. However, the current tensions with a possible war makes me feel unsure now. I truly hope for peace and safety for everyone in both countries.
As a Polish citizen I am worried too about the future... Our media actually actively publish news about North and South Korean relations so I heard about it. I really hope it won't escalate but everybody I know is worried too.

From our sad experience, Korea must take care of her own security and not count on other countries for help if nk attack sk. They all have secret agenda and they will never tell you the truth. I've been studying Korean for almost a year, and I think South Korea is such a beautiful country with great culture and impressive history. I'm currently living in Russia and working as a teacher (not the best paid profession as you probably know), so this whole time I've been also saving for a trip to Korea. I'm also ethnically half Ukrainian (2 of my grandparents are Ukrainian) and I have A LOT of family in Kiev and Lviv. So constantly living in the state of not being able to connect with a big part of my family and not really knowing what's coming next hasn't been easy. So hearing that there's this terrible possibility of Korea going into war is absolutely devastating. I hope with all my heart that this never happens. As of the news about North Korean soldiers, our government has told us that it isn't true (although I prefer not to listen to just one source of information, and never trust what's on TV). But this time I just want to believe there're no soldiers going to Russia.... If it's real, I'm too scared for the future for all of us. Also thank you for sharing the news. Take care and stay safe!

It's not looking good for anyone, also for countries under such regimes, like NK or Russia (even if their dictators think differently). And generally ordinary people, in case of all the wars, die and suffer on both sides, for sake of their dictators, not caring about anyone's lives but themselves.
One of my nephews is currently in the South Korean army on the border. I can't stand the North sending troops to Russia and dragging Asia into a European war.
And how communist ideology and regimes came to other countries, including Asian ones? It was spread from Russia. And the USSR supported all such regimes, throughout the world. So it's not like it's something new, such regimes were in the past and still are, now unfortunately more again, interconnected, between various regions of the world, as we can see.
The US White House has officially confirmed several hours ago that there are, as for now, at least 3 000 of the North Korean soldiers in Russia, who are going to fight against the Ukraine. There are many press publications about it right now.

And when they were at the South Korean Presidential Palace, there was another North Korean balloon found that has fallen on the presidential compound in Seoul.
I've read also that there was some North Korean battallion that was undergoing a training by the Russians, before being sent to the invaded Ukraine. But some of North Koreans, about 18 of them, already tried to escape (they deserted), but where caught by Russians.
But in order for it to be possible, so the reunification in Germany, first the Soviet Union, the whole communist system installed by them in other countries and and the Iron Curtain in Europe had to fall.

It stops mold growth in the try and drum. There is always a little water left which will become stagnant if the door is closed. There is often mold growth on rubber seal if the door remains closed. Also the machine should be cleaned with either washing machine steraliser or bleach - run on a programme without clothes (obviously). If you are not doing this you are literally washing your clothes in mold 🙈. You should also remove the tray periodically and wash it, wipe around the inside of draw to remove and build up. I am concerned about the wars going on by extremist and dictators. I,m also concerned about our election and the somewhat unlikely but declared personal relationship with one of our candidates and these dictators /terrorist leaders. All we in the USA can do is vote. NK soldiers is already close to Ukranian border and im from Ukraine! Budanov who is chief of intelligence here says NK soldiers will be on the front line by the end of this month in Kursk region! there wont be any war between NK and SK as NK sending their soldier to Ukraine in order to gain experience (at least thats how i feel) so in my opinion it would be wise for SK to be in touch with Ukraine in every way possible, including military! in the future experienced NK soldiers will be a problem for SK BUT thats why you have to do something NOW
The little North Korea is nothing compared to the forces of The Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) which enables the Union to take a leading role in peace-keeping operations, conflict prevention and in the strengthening of the international security. It is an integral part of the EU's comprehensive approach towards crisis management, drawing on civilian and military assets.
When Korean men are done with serving for the country, we remain as reserve forces for 8 years. And we have to attend training for a few days every year. And also if a war occurs we have to get back into action. After 8 years, when we are done with reverse solider, we become part of 민방위. I don't know if there is a word for this in English. We become part of 민방위 until the age of 40. 민방위 means when a war or serious natural disasters occur, we have to protect civilians in our neighborhood. So we don't join the war but there are procedures that we do as 민방위. I'm done with my reserve forces but still 민방위 member.

Demonstration of military might by North Korea, sometimes pitiable and even humorous, seem to come from insecurity within the leadership of North Korea. It's just a guess, but I think the recent saber-rattling and chest-thumping by the North has a lot to do with North Korea sending a significant number of its able-bodied soldiers to fight for Russia. North Korea's weaponry is a few generations behind the US, but its soldiers can certainly fight. Where food is heavily rationed and many suffer from malnutrition, it has been a significant expense for North Korea to feed and maintain its army. North Korea, by sending its troops to Russia, is weakening what they would consider a prominent piece of its wartime readiness. So, it must bark.

Tbh, for us it's not such a big surprise that such escalation, like Russian attack on the Ukraine, actually happened. We knew, already since about 2008, that it may end like this, with such escalation, if the Russian regime is not stopped on time by the international community. Our President, together with some other Presidents of the region, was warning against such risk already in 2008, saying: First it's Georgia (a country with the capital in Tbilisi, because in 2008 there was the Russo-Georgian war), then it would be Ukraine (first time attacked by Russia in 2014, and then, on a full scale, in 2022), and later maybe other countries as well. And in the meantime there were various other hostile acts of the Russian regime against European countries, also their attempts to make Europe completely dependent on them in the energy sector etc. So the signs what is coming could be seen in fact much earlier. Hope this time it won't end like it was before the WW II, however there are some analogies - when totalitarian regimes, not stopped on time by the international community (for instance because of so-called "appeasement policy" of some of the countries before the WW II, letting dictators like Hitler to go further and further with their demands) - led in the following years to deaths of many millions of people all over the world, in so many countries, and to all the horrible atrocities, genocide, massacres on so many, committed by all these totalitarian regimes of that times. So all people, from all the countries, should hope that it won't end like that this time, because all would suffer in such a case. Especially taking into account that nowadays situation and events in various parts of the world are even more, much more, interconnected than it used to be in the past. But we shouldn't worry, it won't help much. Just should be well aware of all the risks and threats, in order to mitigate them as much as possible.
про военных Северной Кореи на СВО - это "информационный вброс" (лже информация) для нагнетания ситуации и провокации на некие действия, например введение военных сил нато на Украину. Доводы: 1. ты служил и думаю вполне понимаешь, что 12.000 человек - это внушительный контингент, который надо кормить/поить/мыть/спать положить. Иностранный воинский контингент должен базироваться кучно (в одной точке), т.к. языковой барьер/своя система снаряжения, команд и действий. Следовательно его не получится рассредоточить, а следовательно его невозможно замаскировать (ни формой, ни документами). В то что можно замаскировать корейцев под Бурятов могут поверить только слепые и те кто не видел ни корейцев, ни бурятов. Про Сибиряков вообще молчу. Ну даже если предположить что кто то ослеп и сочтет что внешне эти национальные типы похожи - то что делать с языком? замаскированные корейцы могут говорить по-русски? - конечно же нет. - по этому это первый довод, что сообщение о нахождении северо-корейского контингента на территории СВО - это ложь. 2. сейчас 21-й век - если бы это было бы правдой - то по телевидению, интернету были бы фотографии, видео с их участием с мест СВО, т.е. были бы прямые доказательства - а ничего этого нет. - это опять же доказывает, что вкинуто ложное сообщение. 3. Если бы это было правдой - то инфа была бы не только от одной страны и от Зеленского. В официальных обзорах написано, что на брифинге пресс-секретарь Министерства обороны США не подтвердил правдивость информацию о наличии северокорейского контингента на территории СВО. Неужели кто то думает, что Министерство обороны США не обладает достоверной информацией? - В общем сейчас северокорейского контингента на СВО точно нет.
This is so overblown. What Russia or the NPRK is doing in Ukraine has nothing to do with Korea. Washington is leaning on Korea to support Ukraine. That’s all that’s going on here. I doubt it if Korea cared about Ukraine at all in Soviet days.
