When Martin mentioned Norfolk’s association with Coleman’s mustard etc - it reminded me of a big expensive dinner I was working as a silver service waiter. I was very new to silver service - despite having experience as a waiter at that point. Anyway serving the main course went swimmingly - unfortunately it was when they got to desert when it all went south. I was serving strawberry sorbet and it was very slippery and as I went to serve a lady who was in fact ‘the’ Mrs Coleman - the sorbet suddenly slipped from my grasp - and went straight down the back of her blouse 👚 she jumped up like she’d been electrocuted - the sorbet was very cold 🥶! I wanted the ground to just swallow me up ! To be fair Mrs Coleman’s - Mustard was extremely kind and gracious about it - she didn’t cause a scene - or complain at all really - she could easily have got me fired if she’d wanted - yet she was really cool about it. I remember thinking ‘phew’ dodged a bullet there for sure ! It was funny tho 😎 plus it considerably livened up the dinner 🍽 so I probably did the lady a favour ?!? At least that’s what I’ve been telling myself. Lol. Rx
