As you can see from some of my videos, Parker the Shih Tzu appears to understand everything we say and is very good at following directions. This is a great example! #shorts #dog #shihtzu
I had a shin tzi, he died this morning and I have had him my whole life. This one looked just like him. I’m so glad he was able to pass peacefully at the age of 15.
My shih tzu knew all of her toys by name. She would bring each toy to us when we ask for them by name. Her toys name were green man , pink pink and baby. Enjoy your dog everyday and cherish those precious moments ❤❤❤
Is it just me or are shih tzus just incredibly sweet dogs in general? My mother has one and he is the best dog she has ever had. An absolute delight and cute as a button.
I have a Shih Tzu, Roxy. She is so damn stubborn 🤣🤣 but that little face of hers melts my heart. She’s such a little clown too ❤ Roxy is short for Roxytocin 😅 bc she sure makes me happy
Ya in my experience with shih tzus he wasn’t feeling it. He was most likely saying man what am I a cercus act… go get the monster they say ahhh but they feed me…. Ok here we go… (tail wag) I know because mine just says naw. Unless he’s allergic to me asking.
I had a Female Shh tzu as a baby ,She died 😢 recently she was 15 years old,She was Intelligent funny loves Kisses and staying close I miss her so much ,I want another puppy puppy
my shih Tzu Angel is also very very smart........if I say "speak" she barks one time......."speak twice" and she barks 2 times......if i hold up one finger without saying anything she barks 1 time.....if I hold up two fingers she barks 2 times..........and this is my favorite that she learned in 1 day - when I say "Angel , do you love Jesus?" she barks 3 times..............I think she's extra smart........she learns fast and remembers
My mother's shit zu (looks and acts almost identical to this one) was never taught any commands but will sit for the signal. Still haven't figured it out. Maybe centuries of breeding. He runs the house, took him about 5 days.
I had a Shiztzu and my dog knew all of her toys by name and would get them when you ask her. Her name was Sasha. Her favorite stuff animals were Green Man which was a frog. Pink Pink which was a dog. Baby which was a little white dog like her. Lion which was a little lion she had since she was a baby at 6 months old. Our baby Sasha died during Christmas time 2023 which was her favorite holiday. She was 14 years old when she died. She was so sweet, highly intelligent, happy and cute. I miss her so much. ❤❤❤
My shih tzu girl does that too. She has two favorite toys. Each day she decides which one she wants to favor more, and so when I tell her to go get her baby, she brings it to the living room after her first trip outside. Then she naps with it throughout the day. And finally at bedtime, I tell her to get her (name of the specific toy) and go to bed. She will go and take her toy to the bedroom, jumping up on the bed with the toy still in her mouth. Her other “baby” is always in the bedroom, so each day when she goes to get her baby for the day, she can choose from either one. And since there are two, they each have their own names and she knows one from the other by name. Shih tzu are extremely intelligent creatures… which unfortunately makes them stubborn and bullheaded sometimes. 🤣
So cute! My shitzu does this too! I think their a much smarter species of domesticated dog than people think. Had mine potty trained by 2 months. She knows all the basic commands like lay down, sit, shake, come. Plus go lay down and she'll go lay in her bed. She knows stay and will stay until I tell her otherwise. If I say leave it she'll leave it food or not. Plus their hypoallergenic!!!
Omg I want one so bad I need a puppy and I need to watch videos to train it and groom it properly by the breed what a inspiration to see the love and care and education this lil pup is receiving so happy for this family !
I miss mine..two 12 year old Shih Tzues Phoenix and Phoebe brother and sister black-and-white mixed..they passed awya last year an di really miss them😢
My shih tzu is so easy to train thank goodness! . He's only 16 weeks and he "sits, lay down, paw, roll over, turn round, stay, come, leave it, look at me" so perhaps I was lucky as everyone says they are stubborn but he does walk around looking confused while trying to figure out the meaning of life ....
Very interesting. I will mention that you his vet if we haven’t already. He’s been doing that for a long time and is only four years old. I have to see if my wife brought it up already. He has shown no signs at all of vision issues.
Of course, he only starts to listen when the woman of the house starts talking. Both shih tzus my family had had never listened to my dad, but followed my mom.
What I noticed was the large toy collection that was imperfect condition. my four-year-old Shih Tzu has every toy they’ve ever had and it’s still in perfect condition. We just run them through the washing machine and they come out looking like new.
I just adopted a 8 month old looks just like him but they didn’t teach him not to even see the sun or even go out doors. My Shih Tzu just looks at me like mommy I’m sorry but I dnt know how to do anything 😢🤣 but he’s my baby I’m going to teach him what he didn’t learn. He’s just playful & a happy puppy
Shitsu's are very smart period I've had mine 13 years I've been homeless For the last 5 years. Just recently, finding a place to live period period however, in the time that Charlie and I were on the streets. You wouldn't think a shitsu would be the kind of dog? You would want to be homeless with out on the streets. You wouldn't Think a s*** suit would be a wise choice to be homeless with out on the streetsleeping in the woods. Sometimes we had a car sometimes. We didn't but when I did. When I didn't have a car. I never had to put this dog on a leash . This dog could cross a major intersection by just listening to the wait. It's crosswalk, you know, the recorded ones, and then it tells you okay? You can go ahead and cross. This dog knew how to do that. And he would wait for me once he got on the other side. It was quicker for him to cross the city street. Then it was for me, and he knew how to stay within the cross-border. An amazing dog, but hes got an older. And since then, he's made a few mistakes
