Just letting Little Z know. Snake is only considered to commit 1 war crime.. and even then it was only because he was 'DECLARED' a terrorist when he started Philanthropy with Otacon. But he never committed any terrorist acts only Espionage (which is only a Law Crime not a War Crime) which allowed them to fight off against the threat of Metal Gears around the world. AND Canonically he never really killed anyone he didn't have to. He was strictly a pacifist and only KO'd people and killed only when he deemed it necessary in the canon of MGS.

About the Shulk discrepancy: the thing about him not being able to taste anything is false, it's just something Fiora says near the beginning of the game because he always says the same thing about her sandwiches

even before watching this, I can just imagine Jordan saying something about a backstory of one of the characters and it being completely wrong.

I'd actually love to see more of this. One of my biggest annoyances with Zack is his absolute refusal to learn anything about any of the characters, and this at least takes that ignorance (that admittedly, they all kinda have) and does something really fun with it! So yeah, More Underdogs lore quizzes!

That Morgana question really sussing out the weebs. Peters over here like "that can't be true, Morgana is a cat" My first thought was "But Morgana is a boy?" Like the fact that he's a cat had no bearing on it at all for me.

Lucas never lost his dad, His dad Flint just isn't home because he is always looking for Claus. Flint is very important to the story and is even playable.

I love how Peter responds to Byleth’s dad being revealed in the quiz at about 13:25 by yelling “How are you supposed to know that?!” like Jeralt doesn’t introduce himself in the third cutscene of Three Houses

Lucas still has his father. I knew Ken was supposed to be the answer but Lucas and his brother were literally there when their father freaked out and started attacking everyone after learning his with took a dragon fang right through her heart.

Shulk is scared of caterpillars because Reyn put a caterpillar in his shoe. I forget if he put the spider in Reyn's shoe afterwards, or if he put it there first.

And to answer about how he can’t taste vegetables but doesn’t like them, basically giving different character certain types of food will increase their affinity more and for Shulk, giving him veggies either decreases it or doesn’t increase it so it’s not really a canonical thing, but more of a gameplay thing

Hopcat, Xenoblade was never supposed to see the light of day in America, so the Nintendo of Europe did the voices. Hence the British.

Lucas ain't an Orphan, he got a dad which is one of the main protagonists of Mother 3. Having a single dad doesn't mean you're an orphan. Also we really need an answer on Poppt's animal on animal beastialty question.

On the question of who is an orphan, Lucas actually has a dad that is still alive unlike his mom who is dead. Also, his brother Claus is a spirit in story mode in super smash bros ultimate. So there were two answers.

The fact that I know the lore of Fire Emblem, Star Fox and a few of the other games made this especially painful when people get it completely wrong... oh well, at least I know the right answers.

Yeah there is some incest in Fire Emblem. Although it's not as much as one would believe. Only FE4 has like 2 cases of this, and only 1 directly happened which is treated as an accident/mistake. And the Byleth thing kind of applies on one ending? Also Corrin can get with his cousin so there is that.

Fire Emblem question at the end could have a couple of answers actually. Lucian’s father is Chrom but from there it gets complicated. The answer shown here is sister Emmeryn, nephew Owain who then becomes Odin, then has Ophelia as a daughter. However, if you take sister to be Lissa then the Nephew could refer to any male child of Chrom who would be Lucian’s brother (also could work with Emmeryn but whatever). Since Chrom can marry Olivia, his son could be Inigo who would become Laslow and then have Soleil be Lucina’s father’s sister’s nephew’s daughter. Alternatively, if the last step was “son” instead of “daughter”, then it REALLY gets wild. You could go Lucina to Chrom to Emmeryn then have the nephew be either Owain or Inigo and then have them marry female Robin to make Morgan as a son. Or you could wait for Owain and Inigo to cross over into Fates and get with female Corrin to make Male Kana, or Azura to get Shigure. If you allow for Selena instead of Inigo or Owain for the sake of Argument, that final step could be most of the gen 2 roster of Fates. And they are all descended from Marth.

Note: Marth's dad got killed in an invasion by what's basically a former allied nation that decided to work with dark dragons

As i’ve played Fire Emblem Three Houses (Byleth’s game) and recently completed Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition (Shulk’s game), i’ll try my best to give a nerdy explanation to those who are genuinely curious. Byleth: The Heroes’s Relics (the four weapons of Byleth’s movekit as seen in their specials) are made up of actual bones, as to why they look old and have that colour. Those weapons and the other Heroes’ Relics featured in Byleth’s game are all made up of actual bones of a race known as the Nabateans, basically ancient dragon people races which are kind of common in Fire Emblem. The relics are first told to the player that they were gifts from the goddess to a group of fighters known as “The 10 Elites” that were tasked by the Goddess Sothis to kill the evil gods, they were led by a man named Nemesis who was dubbed “The King of Liberation”. He wielded the Sword of The Creator (as shown in the opening cutscene of Three Houses). However, the above statement was a false history that was rewritten by Rhea, the game’s Pope. In actuality, Nemesis was no more than a common bandit who could fight. In truth, he attacked the home of the Goddess Sothis, slaughtered the Nabatean people and constructed their very bones into the relic weapons you see Byleth, and other characters use (of course them not knowing the truth until the end of the game). For Nemesis and the 10 Elites to wield the relics as actual weapons as well as The Sword of The Creator, they consumed (in some sort of unspecified way) the blood of the Nabateans and used their very hearts to link the wielder’s body to activate with the correct weapon via the glowing effect, known as the crest stones. They can be seen as spheres that have symbols on them if you look closely. For a Heroes’ relic to work at its full potential requires the crest stone, and the wielder to have the blood that was passed down through generations of the 10 elites. For example, Dimitri has the crest of Blaiddyd, his family owned the Heroes’ Relic Areadbhar, as seen in all of Byleth’s side attacks. The Areadbhar possesses the Blaiddyd cres stone. As Dimitri has the crest of Blaiddyd in his blood stream, he is able to wield the Areadbhar relic at its strongest power. However with Byleth’s Sword of The Creator, you will notice the sword does not possess a crest stone, unlike the other three they use in Smash Bros. (Look at their win screen when their back is turned to the camera with all four weapons behind them). After Nemesis is killed in the opening cutscene, by a warrior named Seiros, who in actuality was Rhea (the game’s pope… she’s very old as dragon races are is what i’m saying). The Sword of The Creator initially had a crest stone just as any other Heroes’ Relic did at the time. Rhea decided to remove the crest stone from the weapon, and attempt to resurrect the goddess Sothis, for the next 1000 years (but more importantly because Sothis is her mother). 20+ years before Byleth is born, Rhea had been going through 11 failed experiments to resurrect Sothis in a vessel. Then comes Byleth’s mother Sitri, the 12th vessel Rhea ‘created’. Take that information with it what you will because I still don’t fully know as to what ‘created’ specifically means. Rhea used the crest stone from the sword, as the heart to every vessel that lead up to this point. Unfortunately, Sitri failed, however still lived and eventually met Jeralt, a knight who served Rhea, who almost died taking an attack for her, but Rhea gave him her blood to live on, but that’s besides the point. Jeralt and Sitri fell in love and bing bang boom, Byleth was born, but did not have a heartbeat. As Sitri had failed as a vessel, she became weak and frail even before meeting Byleth’s dad Jeralt. So she begged Rhea to transplant the crest stone heart into Byleth, causing them to live on, and Sitri to eventually die. A few months passed and Jeralt now taking care of Byleth, flees the Rhea’s housing of Garreg Mach Monastery and lives as a wandering mercenary and raises Byleth as a mercenary for 20 years until the beginning of the game where you meet the three lords of Edelgard, Dimitri and Claude and return to the monastery (however the player thinking it is Byleth’s first time going there). A few months pass and Byleth receives the hidden away Sword of The Creator during a raid and finds out despite the crest stone, the sword works perfectly, as a relic requires a blood normally from a descendant and the crest stone in the weapon. However as Byleth had the very heart of the sword, that’s how it is able to glow and do its whip extension abilities that you see in their up special, up air, taunts etc. Now as to how the sword is Byleth’s ‘grandma’s bones’, it gets messy explaining it. Sothis is the mother of Rhea, Rhea the sort of mother of Sitri and Sitri being the mother of Byleth. As it is implied Sitri (may) not be human, but… Rhea did transfuse her blood into Jeralt making Byleth biologically related to Rhea, so maybe that considers Byleth’s biological connection to Sothis as grandchild and grandparent… but it is very confusing. Look i’ve played Three Houses for 800+ hours and still going. But even I still don’t fully get the lore. Shulk: Anyway Shulk’s case. I only recently completed his game at the time, so there’s only so much I can say. Shulk was part of an expedition team when he was four of his parents and some other explorers that found the Monado hidden away. Unfortunately, the entire team including Shulk’s parents, were found dead with Shulk barely surviving and taken home by Dickson, a guy that helped Dunban, the brother of Shulk’s girlfriend Fiora (the one Zack mentioned fed Shulk something he couldn’t even taste). It’s revealed (very) later on, that Dickson was a follower of Zanza, the God of the world who resided within the Monado and as well with Shulk. The entire explorer team tried using the Monado, but it rejects the wielder so much so killing them and even Shulk that day. However Zanza needed at least a host to live within for the time being, and chose Shulk… just because (or most likely Shulk was the last surviver that came in contact with the Monado. Dickson had only been helping Shulk and his friends so that they only lead to the predetermined fate of Zanza’s eventual reawakening one way or another. The Shulk zombie thing is a really big twist if you don’t know about it until its reveal. But basically, the Monado is (sort of) evil. As to why Shulk uses it in Smash, he doesn’t know yet. Both these games are a really good play in my honest opinion. But hoped you enjoyed learning something new of this nerdy lore explanation

It's me! The Xenoblade fan in the comments, here to explain!! A. Shulk is a zombie I mean technically but it feels mean haha. Shulk did die at the age of 4, and was resurrected by the power of a god who kind of lives in shulk now. B. He's scared of caterpillars His childhood friend Reyn once put a bunch of caterpillars into Shulks sock drawer and he's been traumatized ever since I'm not kidding C. Shulk dislikes veggies In the game, the party members can give each other gifts to improve their affinity, which helps in battle. Each character has likes and dislikes, and Shulk doesn't like veggies! ALSO the name of the girl that Zach couldn't remember is Fiora: another one of Shulks childhood friends who he has something of a crush on. HE CAN TASTE FOOD!!! He always tells Fiora that her cooking tastes delicious, regardless of whether or not he actually liked it. Fiora says to her brother "[Shulk] would say it's delicious even if it's stone cold" ITS BECAUSE HE LIKES HERRRRRR I'm so tired of hearing this lol 4. Shulk was raised by monks After Shulk's parents died (and shulk but then he got better), he was raised by a guy called Dickson (yes that's his real name) Although not a monk, he does call himself a "disciple" of a certain someone... Also sheesh Zach tag your spoilers!!!

Kinda think you could have made sure your lore knowledge of the stuff surrounding the questions was atleast right... Marth for example is an orphan cause at the start of his game his kingdom is conquered and he escapes, his parents are killed during this. So not really a case of "RPG starts with unexplained orphan boy"

Just so everyone knows for the Shulk bit (spoilers for Xenoblade Chronicles) Shulk doesn't taste anything RIGHT NOW, but he did until he was 4, age at which he got possessed by the god Zanza and lost taste. So he does eat veggies since he doesn't taste them anyways, but knows he doesn't like them from his childhood. Also calling him a zombie is kind of a stretch, he's more in a constant biologically frozen state, but is conscious. He does need to sleep, eat, drink, other basic needs. It's never clearly established but it's assumed Zanza has him feel those needs not for it to be TOO weird, for him and those close to him

I'd also like to bring up that Ike is not only illegal himself (he's 17 in FE9 when he has an army of children, one of whom is his sister,) but he also has the choice to slaughter an entire church once he does become legal later in the game, so, in the worst ending, Ike is guilty of murdering an entire church in cold blood.
