I'm still realising just how influential this man's words and voice were upon me when I was growing up. He makes this band. When you listen to morrissey you are drawn into his world. he is extraordinary.
Pretty Girls Make Graves The Smiths Upon the sand, upon the bay There is a quick and easy way, you say Before you illustrate I'd rather state I'm not the man you think I am I'm not the man you think I am And sorrow's native son He will not smile for anyone And pretty girls make graves End of the pier, end of the bay You tug my arm, and say Give in to lust, give up to lust Oh, heaven knows we'll soon be dust But I'm not the man you think I am I'm not the man you think I am And sorrow's native son He will not rise for anyone And pretty girls make graves (Ok) I could have been wild and I could have been free But nature played this trick on me She wants it now And she will not wait But she's too rough and I'm too delicate Then, on the sand Another man, he takes her hand A smile lights up her stupid face And well, it would I lost my faith in womanhood I lost my faith in womanhood I lost my faith Ohh, ohh, ohh (Hand in glove) The sun shines out of our behinds

the Jabroni jangle pop, Johnny Marr was one of the pioneers of Jangle Pop along with The Cleaners From Venus. They influenced bands such as Girls, Ariel Pink, Real Estate, and quite obviously Mac DeMarco who has started the new wave of Jangle Pop.
You, Yah, could have been (The) One, You, Yah could have been (The) Three but, since nature did play it’s trick and did it’s magic on and you were (The) One, let Us create (The) Three, together 😽😸😻.
No, it's not. He was unable to get a boner. Hence the line "He will not rise for anyone." He suffered from this problem until late in life... and then Viagra was created!
I interpret it as a man who is shy, emotional and cares about the sanctity of sex, but an emotionally damaged woman keeps propositioning him for sex when he isn't ready to just do the deed.
