I went to that same soba restaurant back in 2017. It was really good. The old lady owner gave us a handmade ceramic bowl that she made as a souvenir for free as well.
I was trying to remember when I last commented on one of your videos, and I think it may have been when I berated you for your unplanned climbing of a mountain in Scotland! I don’t really have anything earth-shattering or mind-blowing to say now, other than to say that your videos are my comfort viewing! A notification that you've posted is my cue to put the kettle on, make a nice cuppa, put my feet up and enjoy for the duration. 😊
Wife and I enjoyed your thoughtful discussion about the ethics of the monkey park. We eschew zoos and aquaria (except for the ones where visitors look out into the open seas like you showed in one of your vids from a few years ago, the Ashizuri Underwater Aquarium in Kochi Prefecture). The bakery is Bakery Cafe Hug RiCO (ベーカリーカフェ ハグリコ) at 5 Chome-3-7 Ichimachi, Komoro, Nagano 384-0033, Japan, The restaurant at around 5:00 is そば処 羅臼庵 (Soba Restaurant Rausuan) and it is just south of the entrance to Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park, on National Route 292. Enza Cafe is just before the entrance. The last restaurant, around 19:00 is きくやレストラン "Kikuya Restaurant" in Saku, Nagano.
I went to see the monkeys during a blizzard. It was so cold and the snow was really heavy. It was back between 1990 and 2005. It is pretty amazing to see the snow monkeys in snow in the hot spring
Congratulations Kyde & Eric! Your videos are great and always entertaining! Looking forward to your next! Agree about Snickers being better than Milky Way...
This is super cute, happy anniversary! That Tanuki Family Food Experience looked pretty baller, but so did the dinner restaurant. The dino footprint was pretty awesome too!
Love you guys and your content on youtube. I appreciate how you managed to rig it so that you can talk to and hear each other on scooty despite the helmets. And record it simultaneously.
Happy Anniversary! Caught the monkeys in the act, hidden wiener in the croissant (Is that not an old Hong Kong movie? :D ) among many other fun things, sounds like a good anniversary to me :)
In summer you can drive in from the other side of the valley and only walk a very short distance to the monkeys. I have been there both in mid winter and summer. I guess I must like the smell of sulfer mixed with monkey poo. It was never that busy though. Inbound tourism has gone through the roof.
All I can hear is Dr. Beverly Crusher talking to Picard in Star Trek after they were telepathically linked from some alien prison tech where she "hears" him think about how he hates her elaborate breakfasts and repeats how he wanted simple "Coffee and KUASAWWHHH" repeatedly. (TNG S07S08 "Attached" yeah I had to double-check the episode number) Bet Picard would have loved a wiener in his KUASAWWHHH.
Oh, you don't class a milky way as a chocolate bar? Or does a candy bar mean something different to you? In England I think a milky way is perhaps different to an american milky way. I adore milky way here. It is superior 💙
I used to think that in Japan they don't eat fast food and grain products/carbs. Maybe eating habits are changing? Japan is facing an obesity epidemic. 🙌
