When I used to sell cars I’d always tell the guy “ya you know how this whole thing goes”, and they’d always reply yup confidently. So when we’d be negotiating I’d be saying stuff and they’d do what they always do nod and say yea yea so when their wife would ask a question, husbands were afraid to ask it too as to not look stupid since already confirming “I know this stuff” and I’d usually always speak at a higher level and use terms only ppl in the industry use. It made it easy to close deals. Husband says yes wife is like “hey well why this” he says “well bc… shh babe. “ come back with the final offer never where they wanted it to actually be , answer some of her questions to win her over and then explain the deal ask her one more question she answers yes now with more trust since she has a little more insight which built her confidence in the deal alittle more then say one last thing to the husband and close with “here’s my pen, sign it right here” Selling cars was so easy I would sometimes intentionally sabotage the deal just to save it.

You get the right judge and they will tell you you were supposed to read everything before signing the documents. A of lawyers would say don't sign it unless you understand what you're reading. That should be the rule period unless you're a minor then those cases are very touchy and you can't sign without a parent's approval in the first place
