An unused Sonic character, left in their game's code as unused content, almost completely finished, the first ever cat in Sonic The Fighters, and quite possibly, the first Sonic character to have ever transformed from a human, into a Mobian. This is the bizarre story of the lost content character, Honey The Cat, from Sonic The Fighters!

I will be honest I really like when a character that is originally human transforms into something new. It's like you are showing how much potential a being can have by showing that they can take more shapes than those they were born with.

I really like Honey because I can filter out hardcore Sonic fans -- and by extension, cool people in general -- by simply invoking her name, not to mention the interesting real-life lore behind her. As a technical person, she appeals to me because she exists in StF as a nod to it sharing an engine and hardware with FV and the discovery of her through game-hacking. I can say nearly without hesitation that she deserves the title of "Best Girl".

Her character design is genius. There’s so many genius character designs in the sonic franchise and so many characters that are lesser known. One of my favorite other than Honey is Ray the squirrel, it looks like he’s always wearing a blanket and is super comfy which plays into why he’s super nice. And there’s so much more characters, from other forgotten characters in the late 90’s to the archie comics and so on and so forth

Dude, Honey the Cat was based off of Honey from Fighting Vipers, she was in the files of the game unused until the Xbox360 port that added her back into the game. He didn’t waste any time, he went into the history of the character. ALSO SINCE WHEN IS SONIC THE FIGHTERS NOT CANON?? HMM????
