I like your reactions a lot. You're tuned in to this show, you always see under the surface. Like Ep. 6 - "That could have been Meadow" - that's exactly what you're supposed to think. You get it.
David Chase said that he made a few episodes in a row (Melfi is raped, Bobby Baccalieri Sr murders Mustang Sally, and Ralph kills Tracee) to remind viewers that The Sopranos wasn't all fun and games.
They had Ralphie do it because by this point, everyone loved rhe characters. Found them charming and funny, even somewhat admirable. And while that's normally a great thing if you're writing a show, fans were so invested that they'd kind of forgotten: no matter else they may be, these characters do horrible things and cause great harm. Tracee's death was written to remind the audience that these people are NOT to be admired.
(The guy who plays Ralphie, Joe Pantoliano, has never actually watched The Sopranos because although he won an Emmy for it, Ralph's darkness disturbs him and he doesn't want to watch himself doing the things Ralph does)
I have a feeling Noah and Caitlyn had a little thing when she visited because after that everything he does is like hes trying to wash his hands of the whole situation, probably lying about her ruining his grades, the restraining order so she doesnt bring up the cheating, and ultimately breaking up with meadow so he doesnt have to look her in the face. Just a theory but never really confirmed. Great reactions, keep em up!
I don't think so. IMO it was his father. Noah said his father was going to take out a restraining order on Caitlain. He clearly blamed her instead of taking responsibility and I think his father knows that Meadows dad is in the mafia and he's not happy about his son being involved with that.
There will never be another show as good as this one! Excellent acting, great characters, and even a macabre sense of humor. It was very entertaining and it is binge watch worthy! Once you start you will not want to stop!
Between Caitlyn going bald, Ralph being a drunk s.o.b, Noah hitting and quitting, and Artie creeping idk who was more out of pocket 💀Great reaction as always you were catching things and connecting dots before they happened 🙌🏾 Congrats on 18k too! (your shirt is 🔥 btw, big H.E.R fan)
I love the dining scene here, you've got Tony annoyed John is stepping on his turf, Ralphie winding up Gigi about the captain spot, and 'no spoilers can't say it', all played out within such a short scene.
Since I haven't seen anyone else mention it in the comments,.... In case you hadn't clued into it yet, ....YES...Noah DID sleep with Meadow's roommate, Caitlyn. That's why he had his dad take out a restraining order against her, given how unstable and clingy Caitlyn was. It's also (a large) part of the reason why he broke up with Meadow.
JM, so my take on the whole Noah and Meadow situation is this... From the first meeting of Meadows dad, Tony, Noah understood that he had NO FUTURE in a relationship with Meadow!! And, in my opinion, at THAT point, he hatched his plan to take her virginity and then dump her as a way of getting back at Tony, in his own mind!!! So he was all nice and lovey-dovey up until the moment that they had sex and then all the sudden the real Noah starts to come out!!! He is two-faced, and if he were an upstanding human he would have broke it off with Meadow right after meeting Tony!!! But instead he played her along until he got what he wanted and then left her😢😢😢!
Noah's a scumbag from day one. The show doesn't reveal that Noah's a Resident Advisor until well after Tony slights him, but dating Meadow is an abuse of that position. And then Noah alternates between ignoring the room mate's mental health issues and resenting those issues.
I think the reason Tony offered the cop a bribe at the end of the episode was to try to prove his theory that black people aren’t good people, as the guy accepting a bribe would help prove that in his head
I'm sad you cut out the scene of Tracee getting spitroasted juxtaposed to I don't even remember, but it was something about Meadow or her roommate having "problems." There was a lot of juxtaposition in these episodes. Men going from beating up hookers to laughing at family dinner.
yes, he was referring to Tracee when he told Melfi "a young man died in a work related accident". he couldn't exactly say a woman who worked at the strip club was beaten to death
I have to say that I'm generally impressed by your observations during these few reaction videos that I've seen. I'm strangely curious about how folks out of my demographic react to some of what I consider classics in tv or movies. I enjoy your comments and insights as I remember what I felt and thought when I first watched. I'm curious as to your section of the country and your general age group. It's a guessing game I play when I watch these videos. I remember Monday mornings at work in the NY Metro area after Sopranos on Sunday. Everybody was analyzing the whole episode. I moved down South a year or two before the series ended and couldn't find anybody that watched or was even familiar with the show... :(
@@journeymariereacts OK. I was half right. lol A lot of the refereneces in this show are specific to the time and area and not everybody is going to get the slurs and slang used. I give you a lot of credit for following most of it. Honestly, I'm in my late 60's, but I have heard black people referred to in ways that I never heard before while watching this show. I have Italian friends back in NY that wouldn't watch the show and got offended if you brought it up. I never let all that get in the way of a good story though. Keep doing your thing...
“University” is one of my 10 favorite episodes. There’s a few episodes from this season that I feel is a bit overrated by the fan base. But that’s one of the truly standout episodes of the series and to me is a transitional episodes to the remainder of the show.
Noah 100% slept with Caitlyn. If you notice, the next time we see her after she goes to Noahs room, she's finally all happy again after having been moody & depressed for weeks.
I haven't seen this theory before but now that you mention it, I think Caitlyn was looking at Noahs bed at least two or three times when she was standing in the hallway. 😬 Edit: And that is why he got a c plus, they were banging all night 👀
@@Dave-jm3zf yup. And its why hes having his dad get a restraining order, bc shes a little unstable and hes worried that now since they had sex she'll always be bothering him.
It's probably better for Meadow that Noah ended the relationship, it was never the big love from his side anyway, but her next boyfriend won't exactly be an upgrade in their relationship, to put it mildly. Btw, given your success here on YT, your reactions are enjoyed by more than enough people that a Patreon page with the option for movie requests would certainly be worthwhile, anyway I would be very happy about such a project and would certainly not be the only one who would gladly take up such an offer.
