MD seriously the last maybe... 6-10 builds you've done have just been on another level, I cannot tell you how much I love them, I struggle to have a favourite tank now, this natural/jungle-y style is definitely where you out do yourself every time!
Because of you my wife and I have absolutely fallen in love with aqua scaping, we will have a center piece in our living room of our very first home soon, insperated by you! Thanks for everything you do in the teaching aspect.

You're correct about the Echinodoras Palifolius... the leaves will comfortably exceed 2 feet in height! and are quite comfortable out of water. I have the same plant - 2 foot focal specimen plant - in a shallow tank (the tank is only 7 inches high). The effect is quite striking. The rootstock is emmense: it has spread across the majority of the substate base, providing the energy throw up a new leaf every 3 weeks or so. It is a plant well suited to open-top aquariums... But the same plant is a total waste in a closed top aquarium: the leaves quickly shoot up into the hood and get dried out and scorched by the lights; all you see in the aquarium are a bunch of leaf stems and the occasional leaf, as it races for the surface... Plant one behind a specimen amazon sword in an open top aquarium and the result is impressive when the leaves emerge from the surface and power over the amazon sword!

I have to say I was a bit upset that you tore down the Buddha tank but this one turned out absolutely stunning! I think the Acaras are really going to love their new home going forward. They really are smart fish. Hopefully they will learn to trust you again after the stress of being caught and moved.
Hello, professional painter/artist here! I realize this video is a year old, but I wanted to offer some input about painting the background with acrylics. With that amount of paint, use one-third of the water that you used in this video. With the roller you will still get an even coating, and plenty of coverage. You'll only need to do two coats, and it will look better in the long run. Acrylic is not water-base, it's plastic based, so mixing it with a lot of water doesn't work out very well and results in uneven layering and the paint will age in a way that will make it chip easily.

Beautifull tank for young Acaras. What i love about your setups is that you value the needs of your fish over aesthetics. What i found funny was that you had doubts about the moss cause it wasnt from that Area. But at that point you allready had 2 Asian Stemplants in, the Limnophila and the Hygrophila.😉👌 And Some websites claim that Christmass moss is found in Brasil. But others say its also Asian. So i dont know. 🤔 But very nice setup.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

you have no idea how convenient and well timed this tank with these specific fish is for me. I’ve had a tank that i did a terrible job on cause i rushed it and i have one of these in it. I’ve been meaning to redo it but had to wait to finish exams. Now guess what, The man the myth the legend MD releases a video of how he makes a tank that’s perfect for the electric blue acara. 10/10 for this. The perfect blend, with it being lovely to look at for the viewer and great environment for the fish with just the right about of plants & hardscape along with plenty of swim space and places for them to explore and hide when they want to. Plus, those fish are so damn cute!
Nice build, I like the fact that your slowly tip-toein' into new waters..., such as SA Dwarf Cichlids, African Lake Cichlids & So-On...& away from your comfort zone of common SA/CA/MEXICO Community Tropical Species (Platy, Molli, Guppy, Tetras & Cory/Pleco Catfishes) or that of Eastern Hemisphere which commonly your Asian/Asian Isles Tropical Community Species (Barbs, Rasboras, Betta & Gourami). Branching out to new, bigger & better less commonly bred or sold fishes will turn this channel up yet another notch.....Dare I Say Predator Community or Species tank(s) in your immediate future, Hope So!!! Now a days so many feed options that's it's almost pointless feeding live anymore, I'd say even less beneficial than readily available frozen/freeze dried options...in case live feedings were a deterant from going bigger via future builds...GDLK. LATA 🐊.
Gotta say, after finding you 3-4 months ago, you’ve definitely re started my enthusiasm for the hobby. Started my 1st “AQUASCAPE” 45 days ago. Gone through the diatom stage, now seeing the beauty of the habitat. Cheers pal👊

I can’t even get swords like that in Australia! Watching scaping videos from around the world just reminds me how over priced and poor quality the plants are that our suppliers pedal! Beautiful tank, very tranquil.
Biggest fan here from philippines 😇 i hope you can read my post sir MD. I had two danios and red cherry shrimps. And i only use a plastic pond DIY in my tank. I hope you have a left over tank that you dont use. Christmas wish for this year. Is to have a simple glass set up for my shrimps and danios. I just dont have enough money to buy some aquatic stuff. Dont have a work yet currently studying in automotive. And when i go home. My plastic pond and fishes relaxes my mind. I hope you can read this sir MD. Keep safe to you and your family sir. Wowwwwwww!!!! This is my favorite tank yet!!! I was so sad when you broke down the Buddha tank. It is soooo hard to do Amazon swords because of their proportions but you did them true justice. What an amazing scape!!!! I actually found myself wishing I was a fish once it was done and I could see your EBAs swimming around such a lush, beautiful environment.

I’ve never seen anyone make the freshwater fish hobby look so cool-your collection is mesmerizing. Watching this took me back to my freshwater days, and I remembered how fond I was of some of the freshwater species like the Geophagus, Electric Blue Jack Dempsey, Discus, Gibberosa, and some others.

I hope you will make more updates - just a little back story narration and then just some more gorgeous shots of saying hi to them again, perhaps some feeding - that really would be lovely! Most beautiful thing in all the projects is your genuine excitement and sparkle in your eyes. It's so contagious, and as a aquarium enthusiast myself, I can feel the butterflies in your stomach. I didn't keep any fish from 2018, but definitely getting a fish tank soon.

Acaras are my favourite fish I had a pair they communicate and show a lot of affection towards each other buy folding their pectoral fin and gently caress each other I clocked there memory at 3 months
Wow. How awesome. I've always wanted Discus, but ended up with either African Cichlids or Marine. I have a planted tank at the moment and thinking Blue Acara.
