Halo season finale TV Series Kai death scene, Perez VS Covenants, Master Chief come to saves the Spartans Juveline. Kai sacrifices herself to destroys Covenants mother ship. #masterchief #halo #arbiter
Lore accurate or not, I think this was the most “Halo” feeling episode in the entire series. If more episodes could replicate this feeling and tone, I have a feeling fans would be much happier overall.
Every episode should've been like this with every environment, tactics, and casts changing every episode or two. Hell, have 2 battles happen consecutively, and their outcomes build up to the finale.
"We trained for this" right before getting blown up and performing worse than the New Mombasa police in ODST has to be one of the funniest things the writers ever did
Not to defend the show but they are wearing Spi armor not Mjolnir which is cheaper and inferior to Mjolnir. They should definitely be much faster though
Regular soldiers can't wear Mjolnir armour. The armour is too reactive and the testing done on normal marines wearing Mjolnir ended in death or serious debilitating injury. Only Spartans had the strength and reaction speed to be able to wear it
@@logangoulet7522 i have no idea about the TV show but in the original halo canon regular humans cannot wear mjolnir as it literally breaks their bones just from moving
Regular people in EVA capable suits =Spartan to these writers. They didn't even tell us about how the other Spartans like chief are different. We saw them run fast, and with Kai we saw that they are strong. With Luis we saw that something made him blind. Something happened with their eyes but they never show us how. I know about the augmentations because I'm a fan... but a good writer would find a way to cover this without relying on fan knowledge. We had so many scenes in boring rooms where they talked about nothing, this could've been covered.
But wasn't that literally the plot, Kai was outright telling him they're not Spartans and he said it's her job to have them believe they are. I can understand not liking the deviation from lore but I think the show is taking steps to make spartan 2s appear as super heroes that cant be replicated - a sentiment which is pretty true lore wise just executed differently no?
You got to find a way to boost moral man reach fell and they dont have time to make spartan threes to best to recruit adults cuz you dont need to have them grow up but they dont seem augmented maybe cuz them being new to this stuff and its just spartan recruits with not alot of training considering they are rushed
In all seriousness the spartan 3’s were not like 2’s they could easily get killed and there augment’s were not as strong as spartan 2’s, even there armour was worst overall and could easily get penetrate by plasma
@@austintheador6302the 3’s augmentation process was described as a “quantum leap“ in terms of technological advancement. They boosted the same parameters to the same degree that the 2’s had achieved. Outside of armour there’s next to no difference between the two classes aside from the 2’s very strict genetic markers.
holy crap, can we appreciate those human ships coming out of slip space? The sound and visuals gave me halo reach/4 vibes, also the corvette being rammed into the CCS, beautiful.
Spartan II's even though being weaker than Elites and Brutes are able to do a 1v4 and win Spartan III's even without good armor are being able to do a 1v2 and win Spartan IV's even without augmentations are able to do a 1v1 and win This Spartans III's couldn't agaisnt a Elite Squad even though they had the numbers
@@dvrchweesse1frfdozemkaanai594 Nope, it was their agility and experience that made them win, Brutes can easily rip a spartan in half and even Master Chief almost dies agaisnt no high ranking Elites Pre-Combat Evolved
This has to be their version of Whitcombe and Haverson's charge into the Unyielding Hyrophant in First Strike, and I have to say.....they did a good job here. It just makes me wish more than ever that they actually did a proper adaptation from the plethora of expanded universe material they had to choose from, not to mention the core games!
a wierd nerd thing i noticed is, at 3:21 you can see they modeled the ship-ship plasma cannons on the CAS class, you can roughly see 14 on the bottom. But we seriously needed to see the plasma torpedos and throughout the entire battle we dont even see the UNSC fire of any weapons......like would have been nice to see a few MACs or Archer missiles.... heres hopeing they release the models or high resolution pictures of the ships for us nerds to analyse.
lol a lot of these comments complaining about how bad these spartan 3s are, when they essentially told you why in the show itself. these are suicide troops, even more so than in the original canon, they arent augmented because that would be a waste. same with why their armor is inferior. they are only meant to be a stop gap until kessler's class of recruits were ready to replace the original spartan 2s
Not true at all. They're closer to Spartan II in that they were selected as children and given augmentations, but the augments were altered to try to lower the wash-out rate from Spartan II and the result was Spartans that were still more capable than most ODST, yet were only a shadow of the vastly superior Spartan II.
The writing in the show is like if you told your little cousin, who was playing with all his Lego figures to tell the story/lore he has made in his head 😂
Seeing H5's intro, Legends, Headhunters, or playing Halo Reach or even Infinite's cutscenes, Spartans always seemed like supersoldiers, even when they lose. These S3's are on par with the frst Spartan-Covenant boarding action in this timeline's apex of the war? There's tension in being overwelmed/out-teched/out-strengthed for Spartans, sure, but these guys have a lower survival rate than Marines on Heroic. ;_;
Yeah, maybe other car companies like Toyota and Ford. It would be interesting to learn what happened to these brands throughout the Halo lore... Yeh I'm messing with ya XD should change to 'KAI' not KIA. Also, it would be cool. Mabe she is still alive like chief was in the beginning of halo Infinite.
So they completely ignored the games lore then. The Covenant doesn't find Reach till the end of the war, so if they were willing to ignore this major fact, they must ignored everything else.
I'll be honest. The Spartans of this universe seem like regular soldiers in power armor compared to the game version lore of how Spartans fought. They were supposed to be deadly, even to the Covenant; and Chief was above even that. I'm not a huge Halo fan, but this seems like a let down when it comes to Spartan combat portrayal.
@leder609 Spartan-IIIs augments had the same results of the Spartan-IIs, with the IIIs being more safer. There's nothing stating IIIs augments were inferior to IIs, only that they were better, with Kurt saying it was a "quantum leap" ahead of his. Spartan-IIIs had more rougher training than the Spartan-IIs. The only difference between the two is experience and armor. When you said that a Spartan-II took down a Spartan-III with a single strike, I'm assuming you're talking about when Kelly fought Holly. What you failed to include was that Holly was moving so fast Kelly couldn't identify her. Holly was matching briefly, despite Holly being in SPI and Kelly in Mjolnir. Kelly being in her 40s, while Holly was in her early teens. And Holly getting back up almost immediately from that strike without a scratch.
Just gonna say this. Operation: TORPEDO. What you’re thinking of is The Headhunters, specialized two-man teams of Spartan IIIs. Other than that and NOBLE, Spartan IIIs were expendable troops that were sacrificed by the hundreds to buy humanity more time against the Covenant.
@@dustyfedora Oh I know very well what I’m talking about, and I did know what TORPEDO and PROMETHEUS are, and I’m just going to quote you this from Ghost of Onyx about the Spartans III in TORPEDO: “The SPARTAN-IIIs moved with speed and reflexes no Covenant could follow. They dodged, snapped necks and limbs, and with captured energy swords they cut through the enemy until the field ran with rivers of gore and blue blood”. No Headhunters, no NOBLE in fancy Mjolnir armor, just “regular” Spartan III. So… the ones from the show are an absolute joke.
For this show to work they will augment Spartan lll’s that survive so they don’t waste humanity resources. But it’s a switch a too because Spartan 4’s will be the lll’s of this show (child soldiers fitted to be Spartans) it’s easier on budget to have it flow this way that’s why Kessler was saved from the new Spartan 4 training.
This space battle is the most underwhelming space battle I’ve ever seen ngl. UNSC ships are not firing even a single round of cannon or archer missile lmao let alone MAC rounds..
THIS is why I didn't trust the reviewers... the 2nd half of Season 2 was effen AWESOME, and this whole battle sequence was nonstop fun. Thanks for trimming it down to most of the essentials haha, but yes, I LOVE that they're going their own route with this now, lets them move a lot more freely and make wild decisions. Seriously though, THIS episode was action packed, and when they REALLY announced Chief breaking through the corridor, it was thee best. Thanks for posting Multi!
"no thanks to your driving, yes" "You did that on purpose, didn't you?" *after purposefully crashing banshee into the PoA* "you told me there wouldn't be any cameras!" "thought I'd try shooting my way out, mix things up a little" "BOO!" "We're not leaving him here" "-yeah, you're not!" "I do know how to pick 'em" "-lucky me!" "I don't suppose you're any good at clearing LZ's?" "-on occasion" "they call him Tremonius" "-not anymore" AT LEAST ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAMES IF YOU'RE GONNA BITCH
I’ll never understand this show. I can hear what the actors are doing with a helmet on but for some reason the show runners believe the audience has to see the tops of their heads to show the audience their expressions.
SPI armor didn't have shields, and the armor is only about as strong as ODST body armor. SPI does have the ability to change color to disguise itself to its surrounding, similar to a chameleon
Okay, 4th comment... do you know... how friggin HARD it would be to perfectly disarm AND STEAL an energy sword from an Elite MIDBATTLE?! lmao sheesh! Great work folks
Maybe in certain cases 3s can survive a plasma shot in SPI... but I think for the most part it's one and done... same thing with the spartan 2s armors once shielding goes down.
the way they shot the beginning implies that the spartans see the plasma shot that hits them, or at least that they're facing the direction where the plasma shot hits. but then they cut to the explosion, and its happening behind them? weird editing choices, all around
Can we take a moment to appreciate the Helmet/FaceCam shots in this sequence! It was so awesome to see Perez's genuine reaction to battle instead of just helmets boggling down a hallway lmao, good way to add character back to the S3s because they're officially the Mall Cops of the police force lmao, was awesome they added that.
Still feels like wasted potential to me the actions cool but replace the III with reg marines or odst and this would like realist III for suicide missions they were killing atleast 3 to 4 before going down
I know this is their stupid silver lore bullshit but Spartan 3's are over all the same size as 2's. Same augments. Now their conscription age was all over the place so that made some differences but it was mainly the armor and training that separated them. 3's are Shock Troops/Assassins' used to take out HVT's and secluded objectives behind enemy lines, that and they were used to buy time with lives. Sacrificed by ONI to take critical OBJ's or die trying.
@@CyrozzzzzSpartan 3 augmentations were exactly the same as Spartan 2’s. They were just as strong and fast and were better soldiers due to more rigorous and thorough training than 2’s at activation. The key difference was ONI didn’t want to spend the cost of an entire frigate on the 2’s mjolnr suits for the 3’s so they gave the 3’s the spi armor generally and sent them on suicide missions to capture key objectives and take out HVT’s. Noble 6 was a Spartan 3 who happened to be one of the few who got the mjolnr mark 5b armor and was considered to be one of the most lethal Spartans, above many of the 2’s and arguably the 2nd most lethal behind chief.
@@fissilepear7805 they were roughly the same tbh. They were implemented differently, at a different age, and so on. These were less invasive than the IIs
Supposedly spartan III acting like regular infantry with power armor instead of spartans like seriously this is the second season and writers still dont know how spatan 2 and 3s act and operate this particular 3s are acting like 4s 🤨 at least the gane spartan 4s are all veterans unlike this version of 3s like wtf.
So does no one notice how for most of these encounters the covenant aren’t even in the damn shot? And when they are it’s only one or two at a time? Also where are the Brutes, the Grunts, the Jackals, why are there only Elites? How are they called “The Covenant” and only one faction is here. This scene sucks.
If this was starships troopers is ok cuz those guy onky regular human with fancy toys but spartan halo?. Those guy a super soldier, a tool for killing and professionals.
Yeah, I like this episode but they're really making the Spartan 3's seem like a bunch of chumps when they absolutely were not. Noble Team from Halo Reach were mostly Spartan 3's and they were not to be trifled with. Also they don't seem to indicate whether any of these people have had any augmentation and if they haven't had any form of augmentation then how on Earth are they Spartans? Spartan 3's didn't have the same level of augmentation that Spartan 2's did but these just seem to be regular ass people.
Yeah, but remember noble team and headhunters were elite S3 who were granted Mjolnir armor due to their remarkable skills. Most S3 died ways like this with SPI unshielded armor that barely protected them from enviromental hazard or space vacuum, being sent deep behind on enemy lines with 0 to no hope of extracting them hoping their numbers could overwhelm the enemy until one of the S3 agents had the chance of nuking himself inside the objective of the mission. Yeah, augmentations in S3s were decent, not quite an S2 but optimal nontheless, but SHIELDED armor was the only thing capable of not get you instantly killed by a single plasma pistol bolt. An armor doesn´t make you a spartan yes... but it sure make a spartan stay alive for longer in the fight.
@@leom5748 again, when will people learn that III augmentations were equal in potency to IIs. they were literally described to be quantum leaps and bounds ahead of a IIs augmentations technologically speaking. they were able to wear gen 1 mjolnir, which means their bodies are just as good as a IIs. some of them exhibited feats that a lot of IIs would STRUGGLE to accomplish without mjolnir.
I just don’t get why the writing in so much modern media is so dog shit, from games to movies and everything in the middle Like yeah there’s some standouts but it feels like movie, show and game after every movie, show and game it’s just mid ass writing, does it have something to do with that writers strike a few months back? Are companies just hiring the cheapest people to write their stories?
@@YodaOnABender fr, there were many male spartans shown the whole time, it was just the one group we spent time with that had the 2 ''main'' spartan III who happened to be girlies plus Kai
I am a bit confused, shouldn't a task like this left to ODSTs? They are supposed to be the most elite force after the Spartans? Why let a group of soldiers with sim training do such a high-risk task?
