Brennan has a talent for introducing seemingly one-off characters who appear to just be there for comedic purposes, but then bring them back at the perfect time for a genuinely badass moment.
@@aureliamoore2105 Well we know Alessander survived, and he was in charge of making sure everyone in the Golden Scythe gets paid properly, so he probably had an invoice somewhere on his person from before he realised that the sphinx's appearance was a *boon* .
I mean... Chekhov's gun just refers to the principle that details in a story generally aren't without purpose. It's not like the sphinx was mentioned but had never had a purpose, he had already served as exposition to demonstrate the exorbitant extravagance of Avalir. This is an example of an entirely different principle known as "a cool fuckin moment," of which I am also a big fan.
This whole game was beyond incredible rarely does a show or movie genuinely move me/surprise me but wen that goddamn sphinx came out i was beyond excited looool it was perfect
I know this is beside the point but Brennan's G'nauthi noise is fully terrifying. Also hell yeah Ferromyne, clutch roar my friend, it's definitely a boon
