14:47 It happend to me yesterday, i was phaving fun with my mates until we were in a match with the last guy camping his airfield. He said ''you guys have the energy advantage, so i use the airfield advantage'' lmao i check his profile and its not even a new player but a veteran one. He won the match just because of tickets, we stopped playing right after that.

Doing God's work, dishing out L's to airfield campers. Also thanks for "sunken cost fallacy", I've learnt a handful of logical fallacies but that specific one is more psychological and I'm guilty of it, nice to know there's a noun out there to refer to it.

The F mk IX is one of my favourite irl planes. In war thunder I find it a very difficult plane to use because 4.3 is such a competitive BR bracket, and I feel like I am often the only plane on my team at altitude facing 3-4 109Gs, J2ms etc and I just get mobbed and 3rd partied.

The passive aggressiveness towards the airfield campers, I feel that

I find the spitfire to kinda be that one plane that can always do something better than the opposition. Whether that’s the bonkers climb speed, the ability to outdogfight any enemy that can climb with you, or the speed to get away from something outturns you. If you have an advantage over the enemy and you don't duck up, he‘s toast. If the enemy has the advantage but you have altitude, you can usually just dump the nose and get out of hairy situations. If the enemy dives with you, you can outturn them, if he gets off you regain your altitude quickly.

The videos where team-mates are actually using their brains are my favourite, it shows you how much of a difference it can make if more people know what they're doing.

Just in time. I think we're finally about to make SAPI an actual SAPI: I've sent 3 or 4 reports on it already, and as of now (2.18 DEV) it finally got the AP damage model (proper penetration and kinetic damage). Now I'm forcing Gaijin to finish tuning it by getting rid of fuse latency and make it harder to trigger. (irl API had no fuse and ignited upon impact with armour/modules) Wish me luck with that. P.S. - I'm really a fan of F Mk.IX exactly for it meeting stronger opposition than Mk.I-V (people around 3.0-4.0 are easier targets than 4.3-5.3), while not having actually outstanding performance (like LF's absolute climb or Griffon's climb/speed/turn combo). And it's more engaging to fly than 109s (although not as ball-twisting as 190). And LF/Griffons also face the 288 spam, which is cringe to be frank.

Man, i picked up this plane when the coupon was re released and the price hit like 20$. Very fun plane to run around with. I bring it with my 4.7 Brit lineup in GRB, and play an air superiority role.

The people who faceplant the ground to avoid giving you the kill are somewhat pathetic Imagine being so bad at the game that you consider that as a sort of win

Bro i actually have this thing. I don't even remember which tournament i got it, and when i got the coupon i was like "yeah i have a premium plane to grind british tree now" and consumed it... If i knew it would cost 500$ now, i wouldn't have done that.

Your spot on ..7 years ago when I first flew the spit it was great then one day it was horrible after an update..forget which one but I hate flying it out.

Managed to get this in the event. Kept it. Somehow I just never have good games in it. I just don't have that much fun in the spits and just keep thinking "I could be flying a zero right now instead".

I hardly ever play spitfires anymore. You will hardly find anyone willing to fight you unless they have a large numbers advantage, they usually just run away until you are out numbered (because you team refused to climb and/or took head-ons and are now all dead) and they just try and drag you low and swarm you. It's not very fun to play them right now, because even the German teams don't know how to energy fight and that spitfires energy retention isn't very good making it not that hard to fight a spitfire if they don't have a large energy advantage, instead everyone just runs from zeros and spitfires cause they can't out-turn them.

Good video and kills. It also features a lot of what WT players seem to be like these days. I don't think players have ever been so passive, so short-sighted and just either not knowing or not caring how to play and win the match. It's a toss up if they even bother to climb, and all they do if they aren't behind you with a massive energy advantage is try to run/dive away and/or airfield camp. Inevitably when they get caught out somewhere they have no skills to fall back on and die easily.

My way of engaging spitfires used to be that if it looked like it had too many letters, don't engage.

I got it from the 2v2v2 event too back in the day...didn't use the market back then so I used the coupon...that was also a mistake lmao.

DEFYN the seafire mk17 carried me to jets because i was too bad to cope with the repair costs of the other planes so long ago. so i think you should try it, yeah the 7.7's are kinda steaming garbage compared to the griffons w .50 cals or 4 hispano's but still its a griffon and people do just turn with you when they shouldnt. please consider. you could also just meme the ground pound 5.7 griffon xvIIIe lmao. i will also be going against your advice in the YAK VK video and i WILL be crewing the mk24 and flying it.

Spitfire is my favourite plane. I generally play the spitfire a fair bit more spicy compared to you. I actually don’t mind if fighters are above me because I lure them into reversals.

It sucks when people camp the air field

I've tried so hard to like the spitfires as they're beautiful and iconic. I'm up to mkIX and they've all been horrible. Had a sim game yesterday and took the spitfire for the first time in a couple of months. I couldn't even kill an A.I. fw190😢. Went back to the typhoon and started wrecking again. The spitfire had horrible forward vision, difficult to aim, elliptical wings have horrible stall characteristics that stall from the control surfaces first and it feels so slow and underpowered. Then a small child fires a .22 air rifle at you and your engine is finished.

Maybe a F11F1 gameplay?
