Love what you're doing but I agree about the wires (and anything you do to it), a little extra time spent now will save you from many future headaches. Keep at it and in no time a water pump will be a level 2 for you! 👍
Good call thank you 😎 I’ll be fixing the wires and cleaning them up to avoid any electrical issues! I’ll be doing an update video on this radiator in the future where I’ll have cleaned up wires and let everybody know if these radiators are worth it.
I have a 83 C10 on the 6.2 the heater return hose & temp sender go into the original radiator on the same side as the oil cooler lines , how did you deal with them , does this rad have provision for heater return hose & sender? Thanks
I’m not trying to be critical but there are a couple things I’d like to mention. First , the top rubber hose you installed looks like it’s wanting to kink since it’s a tight bend, keep an eye on it… Now, That wiring job is a complete, total shit show!!! Take some pride in your work! Tear all of that out and start over. Run all of the wires together, and use some loom!! You have one wire stretched here and one over there!! I’m a big fan of your channel, I’m looking forward to seeing the aluminum radiator in the XJ!
Hey I like the criticism! Makes the channel better 😎 every time I drive the truck I check all the work I did just to see if I’ve developed any leaks and the hose has been fine so far. And I agree the wiring isn’t the greatest, I did run out of wire loom after using the rest on the ground and power wires for the fans but I need to add more to help protect those wires, connections and clean up the engine bay some more. And if enough people are interested in a jeep xj radiator video I’ll reach back out to them for a radiator and do an install on the xj 😎
