Appreciate you bringing in the other srm s & discussing the price factor. This definitely figures in to our decision to buy. Liked the inset with the knife in pocket. More YT knife channels should do this ! Slicey's jeans fragment is good but actual in the pocket is far better. Liked the knife, it's worth the $40. Never thought about the asymmetric grind line but will be watching for it from now on. Already committed to buying the $19.95 one but right now not ordering any knives due to other essential expenses. Good review & congrats tobthe lucky winner.
The blade really looks good.. I think as long as they stay away from knockoffs and stick to original designs they are worth trying. Unsure if they are the best at that price but definitely a contender.
I really like SRMs, especially with the axis/crossbar lock. Finally got my hands on the elusive 7063auc and it’s great, but a little small. This one looks solid. Over to the giveaway! Thanks!
@@sheltermonkey6065 Nothing really happened. I just think it's time. Few videos left to wrap things up. A couple giveaways to do one or two more reviews, and that should be it.
I have the 1168, 9201, land 913, waiting on the srm 1006 rattlesnake color to come in mail ,and yesterday ordered the 710 vg10 titanium handle limited from AliExpress, I have been on a srm binge , srm to me has passed ganzo .....
They already start from behind a little, I think, will have to prove themselves more to shed thier already established image,or credentials I guess? Most don’t think of them as the OEM side of thier company
Great blade, great action. I would take I’d among the three. Against the competitors in that price range, that’s a hard sell. I want to experience it in hand to make that call. (Or have $40 just laying around). Thanks
Chinese D2 is not real D2. It's a variant. Sometimes it's not heat treated correctly. A lot of it is 8Cr13MoV or semi-D2 variant, Cr12Mov. The US standard for D2 steel is designated in ASTM A681. D2 came into use in World War Two.
90% of people who hate 8Cr and demand D2 on their budget knives only care about the stamping on the blade, and will likely never know the difference in performance. Like I've said before I don't have excessive needs when it comes to my steel, so as long as it's on par with 8Cr, I'm unconcerned. Especially with a thin blade like this.
I have the $29 knife & after it was O.D.’d with Loctite it became acceptable for the price. But this $39 knife? Nope. Not when you can get Sencuts and even a Civivi for about the same money!
