Aweweee! Brother Donny that's a mighty fine looking meal there i can just imagine waking up on a cold morning stokeing the fire up and getting that good old breakfast going mmm mmmh I can smell it know! Sure enjoy your videos come on camping weather!😆
Deep fried eggs & bacon with pancackes! MMMMMMMM!. I've seen several RU-vid videos of folks using that butane stove. It seems like it's hard to get the heat low enough to keep from burning the food. I saw one video where the center of their pancacke was burned and the outside perimeter was barely done. I prefer Coleman's 533 stove. I ordered the Stanely cook set last week. Very good set, very good quality.
I would use the large cook pot as a sink and wash all of the dishes and use the dish rack to let the bowls and plates dry. Nice job, man. Looks like a great set!
That Homer Mayo Dropping that bacon on your plate was pure mean!!! Knowing we are never going to get any more unless he sends it lol. Enjoyed it and on a DPO marathon as I work on these knives tonight. The peaches are a no lol for me, Maybe some blackberries? and those background sounds I miss this time of the year. Also, the Skillet seasoning is on point, Stainless steel is good to cook with. Just got to know the carbon in the oil has to form and the pan has to accept it. ATB Mike
Donny, i chose not to buy the big set. I agree about the frying pan, I I got that set. The only thing I don't need is a big pot for four and the dish rack. The pan set has the spatula and trivet. I can buy the serving spoon. Between the prep set and the pan set I can cook everything I need. And with the small kit I have cups, the prep gives bowls, and the pan has plates and sporks. The nice thing is if I only need the pot and small set, I can do that. If I want the pan and small kit I can do that. And I agree about the plastic handles. If used properly, they will survive!
That sounds reasonable to me! This set is very well thought out though. It's great for it's intended purpose...more than two people. To my surprise, one of my favorite uses for the large pot is dishwashing. I heat up water in it, add soap and scrub. Rinse with cold water. I am happy you are enjoying your other sets. I like to mix and match for the occasion. Take care!
I think you need to start a new cooking series, you can call it "heart attack camp cooking". I uploaded a video the other week about cooking pancakes in a stainless pan. Seasoned it like you and I have found that it is best to season it before every cook. Many thanks.
Nice little breakfast you had- the Skillet seems to do the trick and the use of all the other accessories seemed to have a place at the table as well.. I know a Young man who says Just Bacon Donny!!! Just "Bacon" is all the skillet needs to cook...
I love the main pots of these kits however I never use the inside stuff. I don't cook like that while cmaping or backpacking ...ramen or canned beefstew
Hey Donnie neet job! Is it your opionion that the large kettle will substitute for a dutch oven? Litter form? Think rthem plates will. Hold up at baking heat levels?
No way this will substitute a cast iron Dutch oven. It is brilliant however, for it's intended purpose. The plates are good for covering the bowls. Great question!
You have peaked my curiosity. I don't know about coconut oil, but I have put a temporary seasoning on the skillet using Pam. You still have to heat the pan until it smokes, give it a wipe, then cook.
@@DonnyPavoliniOutdoors yeah my wife cooks stuff like pancakes on our stainless steel All-Clad pans with coconut oil. It has a very high flame point and does not require much. thanks for the tip; I'll try that too.
I bought myself a set on Dec. 7th 2020 today is the 14th and a few days ago I got a notice that I could check my Shipping progress thru The Australian Post. I LIVE IN OREGON and these Geniuses sent my Camping Kit DownUnder ! I have tried to contact them 4 times, but they are Useless ! *HOW DO THESE PEOPLE STAY IN BUSINESS?*
@@DonnyPavoliniOutdoors sounds good. From what I have read, if a magnit sticks to the bottom it will work on an induction. After watching your videos I went ahead and bought the fry pan and the little sauce pan for my semi truck. I dont want to use a gas stove in the truck and have to buy the containers. I have an induction cook top at home but I'm not at home right now to check. If they are not magnetic then I'll have to get a regular cook top off amazon.
Well, that makes two of us. It is sad that you may not be able to go. I certainly empathize with you. You know, you don't have to spend the night to be able to enjoy camping. I don't know your present situation, but one can pack a lunch or stove and cook kit etc. and just go for the day or part of the day to a place of tranquility. This investment of time for yourself will pay huge dividends for your sense of well being. I wish you well and keep your chin up! DPO
Same here if it’s not money it’s time if not time no open spots at our campgrounds.its always something. We made a fire pit in the yard so we can still roast marshmallows and make s’mores and hang out by the fire at least .
LOL Your funny, the made to be None stick skillet is called burned the pan. I would kill it with stainless still brillo... Yes, I am fanatic cleaner. any none white stainless still pan goes to the trash for me..
Just watching the eggs being dropped in to what looks like 2 cups of bacon fat I totally understand why Southern people die so young. But dam that looks so good.
