11:00, 5:45, 12:23, 13:38, 14:39, 16:47 These segments all made me crack a freaking rib! Morgan really showing his funny side with this video! Amazing job as always and thanks for sharing with your patrons a few days early! I’m proud to support you every month!
@@MovieFlame Hey, could you a video telling the life story of *George Lucas* maybe??? Because I know you did one of *JK Rowling* so just maybe thought you could do one of *George Lucas*
@@Elysia63 I’d love to see him do that, along with The Life Of Stan Lee. Along with Life Of vids for Cobra Kai Season 4 on characters like Daniel LaRusso, Johnny Lawrence, John Kreese, and Mr. Miyagi.
Fun fact: Lucas gave Carrie Fisher a copy of the special as a gift for recording the commentary for the DVD release of a new hope she even claimed that she played it at parties just so people can get out of her house. that's how bad this special was
@@vikkran401 Huh??? The original Star Wars was the Highest Grossing Film, Domestically and Worldwide EVER at the time. It also was nominated for a ton of Oscars including Best Picture (The only SW film to be nominated since). So I'm pretty sure people knew what SW was before ESB was released.. This is not to mention the massive toy sales along with that. My understanding as to why this special didn't have much of a negative effect was because people saw it for what it was: a cash grab and moved on with their lives. But still anticipated the sequel to the original. And also one accurate point you did mention was that there was no internet. So it was only through word of mouth people knew of this who hadn't seen the original airing.
The reason why Luke looked different was because Mark Hamill was in a car crash shortly after the release of A New Hope. With him receiving serious facial reconstruction.
The sad thing was after filming Star Wars (that’s the original title for A New Hope) Mark Hamill had gotten in a serious car crash that made him get serious facial reconstruction. And why Luke getting attacked by the Wampa in The Empire Strikes Back, as an in canon explanation for Mark Hamill’s facial reconstruction.
As far as I know Carry Fisher had a copy and would threaten party guests that she would show it to them, if they refused to leave... don't know if it's true, I read it on some website...
George Lucas:OK Disney and Kennedy please don’t show this or even talk about this Holiday Special Disney and Lucas film:Uh yeah this doesn’t exist Also Disney and Lucasfilm: shows the Boba Fett sequence on Disney Plus
Change my mind, but the Lego Star Wars Holiday Special is waaaaay better than the sequels, at least the character development in it. Rey actually struggles and shows weaknesses, and she learns from her mistakes and grows on it. She has a better character development in it than in three full length movies. And Rose is far more likeable too. In that 45 minutes Lego short film, which is basically a parody the characters get better development (in Reys case: Actually a personality with weaknesses), are more likable and the overall story is kinda more fun. 10/10 in my opinion, that is what those characters should have gotten and how they should have been treated.
4:20: The reason they had Mark Hamill in that much make up was because he was in a car accident five months after A New Hope that broke his nose and both cheekbones. He was still recovering when they filmed the Holiday Special, and he was also on heavy painkillers during filming
Carrie Fisher did have a beautiful voice. Since both of her parents were famous singers (Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher, for anyone who didn’t happen to know), it isn’t surprising. Her mom had hoped she would become a singer, but she wasn’t interested in singing professionally.
the reason Luke looks so different, is cause of Mark Hamil suffered a car accident which fractured his nose and left cheekbone. It's also the reason why between ANH and ESB Luke looks so different
Didnt he suffered the accudent between ESB and ROTJ? Because ESB Luke looks quite similar to ANH. The reason why he looks so weird is because of the tan and eyeliner.
I was a Star Wars fan since it first came out (I’m an old fart)! I was 12 when this special aired and I wanted to love it. I couldn’t understand why it was so disappointing. My 12 year old brain was just thinking “No!! It’s Star Wars! It can’t suck! Why does it suck???”
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but they apparently made a movie even more bizarre and confusing than the animated titanic movies. I didn’t think it was possible but they found a way
0:27 I mean... There was also the novelisation of "Splinter of the mind's eye," but I guess the books pretty obscure unless you happened to read it • -•
I can't imagine how hard it must have been reviewing one of the most atrocious movies of all time you are easily among the top 5 most dedicated youtubers of all time and I think the only other movie to have made you so mad that you wanted to just bang your head on a desk until your brain stops working was The Last Airbender movie
WELCOME , Ladies and Gentlemen to the worst movie/play ever competetion-Our competitors are- The Last Airbender The Cursed Child Percy Jackson Movies Star Wars Holiday Remakes(or somethin i forgor)
I'm glad to see you talk about Star Wars again as well as Avatar,Morgan. I am just as much of a fan of Star Wars as you are. Keep up the good work! You make awesome videos!
The blockade disappeared in the phantom menace because the trade federation already had complete control over the planet and ports, there was no need for it
The make up on Mark Hamil’s face was actually because he was in terrible car accident not long after the first movie came out which destroyed his face pretty badly. In fact, the Wampa attack scene in Episode 5 was added to explain the scars Luke has later in the movie.
Star Wars is better than Harry potter Harry Potter boring Star Wars is more fun Star Wars has more better movies sure the potter movies are more consistent but Star Wars has better movies also Star Wars has better TV Shows and Video Games Harry Potter has no tv show and has barly any video games Star Wars has better Comics although I admit that Harry potter has better Books Novel books
Maybe the cooking lady is related to Stitch or something. Because he can get two extra arms appear out of nowhere. That's the only logical explanation I've got. And the fact that Boba Fetts first appearance was here, was something I totally forgot! I guess I have blacked out a lot from this holiday special haha! 😂
Can you do a video on the similarites and differences between Star Wars and Harry Potter, and maybe do a reaction to a Harry Potter vs Luke rap battle?
Morgan, let's just assume that this was all just a weird dream Chewbacca had while sleeping in the Millennium Falcon six days before The Empire Strikes Back
I'm 37 years old and was SW obsessed as a kid....heck, I still am. So I'd heard the murmurs of this. I was in a local Pittsburgh SW club and my one good friend owned a copy. So I said, heck, if I'm gonna be a diehard fan....I best see it. And he looked at me, concerned, and goes "Are you sure?" And I went "Lets do this...." Words cannot explain it. As incredible a job as you did, it really must be seen to be truly understood JUST how bad it is. At a point my friend went to the bathroom and I'm not joking when I say I secretly fast forwarded just to get it over sooner. It is the television equal to being waterboarded. Some highlights though would be Carrie Fisher CLEARLY coked out of her mind, Mark Hamill caked in so much makeup because of his recent car accident that he looks like a Ken doll, the fact that I'm pretty sure Grandpa Wookiee's present was legit pornography, that Bea freaking Arthur owns the cantina, and the only legit good thing to come from it....the Boba cartoon. And HOW insane is it that fan favorite Boba Fett was introduced....IN THIS!
I laughed at the clips from other reviewers, then went ahead and watched the whole damn thing. I did it. It took every bit of resolve, dedication, and booze, but I did it. Especially the growling Wookiee’s, wtf.
For years i only heard terrible things about the Christmas special. So when i experienced it for the first time myself, I found it hilarious. I laughed a lot and i loved the songs. 🤣🤣🤣 That scene with Bea Arthur and the creepy customer felt very real. 😱
The person who played Lumpy, Patty Maloney, was in a show in the 80s called the Far Out Space Nuts 🥜 which was a really good show. I recommend it if you haven’t seen it
And episodes 1 - 3 And the clone wars movie And the darth Vader dark vision comic And the dark empire comics in legends And Chapter 10 of the Mandalorian (maybe not that hated, but I know a lot of people who despise it)
15:50 who asked for this? It was Carrie Fisher herself. She also saw how bad this was going to be she even made sure to keep a copy of the holiday special herself. Also I believe that George Lucas claimed he had very little to do with this film but many of the cast and crew disagree with that. Considering how controlling about his films he was in the prequels and his constant need to “perfect” his movies with new releases it’s likely he had quite a bit to do with this but wants to save face.
It's the opposite. He left it up to others, and they messed it up worse than he could have possibly imagined. Not to mention he was incredibly involved in the Empire Strikes Back at the time, going through several drafts. I can't imagine he could have been very involved
Recently they made a LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special which is much better. I'm really looking forward to the release of The Book of Boba Fett on December 29.
I tried watching that holiday special till I couldn't take it anymore after just 15 minutes. Found a copy from RU-vid, I guess Disney doesn't have the balls to claim this s*it

the algorithm presented me with this amazing special as I was coming down from an acid trip. I have never been as confused and I still think this can't be the same reality as before.
The same guy who thought making an annoying, racist stereotype alien as a main character in a prequel to the most successful franchise ever, as well as making the Anakin skywalker whiny and creepy as his origin, so if I’m being honest this holiday special is within character of George Lucas
MovieFlame, you should make videos about the Kane Chronicles. If you haven’t heard about it, it was made by Percy Jackson’s creator, Rick Riordan. It’s quite entertaining. I think also there’s a crossover between Percy Jackson too. Hope you respond.
There's 3 Kane Chronicles books:Red Pyramid,Throne of Fire,and Serpent's Shadow. The Crossover is (3) Demigods and Magicians:Son of,Sobek,Staff of Serapis,and the Crown of Ptolemy.
While I think last Jedi is a 7 / 10, I respect you love it, and if I’m being honest as long as Star Wars fanzine don’t try to ruin others enjoyments of things they like (which is something a lot of fans do anyway) I think it’s better we disagree on some stuff, as otherwise it’s kinda boring
