As long as we have great fan games in the making like Y + 1 and Perfect Blue, megaman is never going to die, at least not the classic series, megaman x fans are wondering if they will be alive to play corrupted, megaman zero and zx fans have a lot less to look forward to, megaman battle network fans only have one fan game to look forward to, and this one is basically in the same place of corrupted when it comes to time development, as for legends, x over and star force? Sigh...

I’m almost 19 (birthday in a couple weeks from now) and I first got into Mega Man from the Archie Comics crossover with Sonic when I was around 5 or 6, and I’ve loved Mega Man ever since. So at least in my heart, Mega Man ain’t dead. 💙
Dude im tottaly sad cuz capcom is kinda ignoring Megaman And for years there has been no, megaman so i hope 1 day capcom gives some more love for megaman because why would they wannna kill one The top 5 franchises they have it makes no sense and most fans are sad with it and also ill come back from the dead if croby posts bcz i dont care abt waiting
I dont think that Megaman is going anywhere. Megaman is such a legendary franchise that it would be hard to believe that theres not going to be any new games coming out. I think that its just going to take a while.
The problem is, is it going to be megaman 12 or megaman x9? Considering they have registered the titles megaman 12, 13, 14 and 15, but no x9, it worries me a lot...
@@thomasffrench3639 you can register names for products of your authority, companies do that all the time, for example, Sega registered the name "Sonic Frontiers" before actually lanching the game, the name registration is made so that no other people or companies can use said name besides the one who registered.
I think X9 is the best next move for the franchise, I wonder if they'd try to make the aesthetic more similar to Mega Man X 1-3, simirarly to it's classic counterpart Also, unrelated, but seeing CBM footage feels weirdly nostalgic to me for some reason
I don't think that nostalgic move would reoccur again like with 9 and 10, but would be still neat. Also, yeah, those are matches I had online, it's always fun with CBM/Gobdola lol
I'm honest, they should go with an enhanced style of X8 and Maverick Hunter X and not the 16-bits for X9. Don't pull a Sonic Mania on Mega Man X. We already got a lot of 16-bit styled fan games, Corrupted being the most ambitious one and I personally believe no matter which style X9 will use, it won't be better than Corrupted. JKB understood the X formular better than Capcom will today.
First off, I do understand your absence any human face it eventually. as for mega man's future I do think he will get new titles but in a far slower pace. capcom probably don't want to return to the path of yearly releases which for example far from the worst example many said mega man 10 is a bit worse than 9 and part of me saying the short time release can relate to it, yes we have X6 as a major example not gonna enter this story rn. But capcom took it a bit too far and decided to wait far too much to make a new mega man game. Tldr they took the far off side of the spectrum of releases with mega man and need to find a sweetspot like say 2 to 3 years between releases if you ask me

If i took hold of Megaman 12, the artstyle will be 8 bit, but with more style, like megaman's sprites are liturally his battle & fighters sprite, but colored. Also its widescreen too. Plot will be about a solar flare that hits the earth, Making robots act strange, some recovered back to normal, but eight of them were hit the most, you know how it ends though, dr Wily is behind this hot topic!
Is Mega Man dead? No, we got a collection last year. Is the franchise in a great state? Also no. There are a couple of red flags around the franchise right now. No real news or communication of a new game 5 years after 11 came out in 2018 and the MM producer jumping ship to name a few. Love the franchise to death. It was my introduction to gaming in general, but there's only so much copium that can go around.
Has much there no megaman game. But atless Capcom just gave us megaman x dive offline since the online were closed and couldn't access play online anymore. but they give nice features for story mode and some other mode that i haven't been beat. Has well the release megaman x game, which the same port of ios version. Man that version were suck, but atless it cost 5 buck. I don't think megaman is dead, because they're plenty of series would get a chance to have next entry if any creators will join Capcom for next entry. Unlike Ubisoft Rayman series, Capcom do still care for megaman , has much there no new announcement. For me, I'm alright to be waited for new megaman games(If Capcom have a chance), since we got plenty of megaman fan games, has well more enjoyable to play Mega Man Maker!
Yet Street Fighter X Mega Man wasn’t really worth taking for Capcom to license this fan game that wanted it, Cool it has some details for level design but it just shift it out of the water how short these levels are wasn’t really fun, Granted I would seen more better than other fan games did.
