I love the Statler Brothers!! I’ve been a fan for many years!!! I love this song, one of my favorite Statler songs!!!Their harmony is the best ever!!!!!
I love this song. My husband was My Only Love. We were married 51 years. He passed away in 2019. I miss him something awful. I thank God for putting him in my life.
We grew up a few miles apart in small country towns. We lived in the country in the northwest panhandle of Florida. Population approximately 4,000. It gets really cold in this part of Florida. In January of this year it got down to 20 degrees. Believe it or not. Born and raised here. We had 5 children.
Yes…just was saying that. Before him they had ONE number one hit, and won best comedy act awards. I think he gave them much needed necessary credibility as a group who touched emotions, along with writing their other 3 number one songs.
I do too Margo, he had such a great humor, and I loved his baritone voice. I'm a sucker for tenors too, so heck, I just love and miss the Statler's, but I still have some of their albums!! 💕🇺🇸👍

@@rubyw6503 I have seen The Statler brothers with Jimmy Fortune live in concert, once, got to shake Don's hand, and Jimmy;s. After shaking Jimmy;s I told myself "I'll never wash this hand again, changed my mind when I went to the rest room! HA! Ruby W PLEASE enjoy the concert enough for BOTH of us ! I love " Elizabeth", and "My Only Love" NOBODY comes close to a voice like Jimmy Fortune. I didn't know the Statlers still did concerts. Did they replace Harold, or does Jimmy just perform solo?
Oh no The Statlers don't do concert anymore. I saw them sometime in the 80's. But when Jimmy is close enough I usually go.I laughed way to hard about washing your hand. Yes, I know I will enjoy his concert. Take care

Happy for you Linda johnson. I wish I could of found my only love, but it just wasn't meant to be I was married for 22 years. When we divorced the JACKrabbit said he was misable for the last 17 years, so why didn't he do something about it? My wedding vows MEANT something to me, but I was missable the last 5 years. I finally saved up some money, got up my courage, and told myself "Enough is ENOUGH". so I did exactly what he was trying to make me do, I divorced his ASP!
