May Harold Reid RIP. He is gone, but he will be forever loved, and missed by Millions of Fans World Wide. He passed away at home on 4/24/20, following a brave battle with Kidney failure, according to his Nephew, Langdon Reid, Son of Former Lead Singer, Don Reid.
These guys were magic. They were my first concert in 1975. I miss them. May Harold rest in peace, free from pain. Prayers of comfort to the Reid family and the other Brothers. You gave us years of love. God bless.
These guys are Irreplaceable how fortunate our generation is to have had them .just compare rap music to this gold and you will see what is wrong with our wonderful country. RIP Harold you will be missed but never forgotten
I went to college at Eastern Kentucky University. Been to Clay many times. Isn't that where Mohammad Ali (Cassius Clay) was born and raised? Wonderful little place in the 60s
Harold was such a jokester He cracked me up. Rest in Sweet peace Harold in the arms of our Father. I pray that God comforts your family. Give them strength to carry on. God bless them all

These men are the very definition of true Southern Gentleman. I've had the honor of meeting them several times and everytime I do I thank God for two things one that my dad bought that first album and two that the Statler Brothers are from Virginia. I've been a fan my whole life.
Actually Phil Don & Harold are from Staunton and originally Jimmy Fortune was from outside of Stanton but in Virginia somewhere in Virginia and Lou DeWitt the original founding tenor was also from Staunton all four of these are homegrown Virginia boys I grew up in Hillsville Virginia down near the North Carolina line in the Southwest loved these guys since I was a child Southern 4-part Harmony is unmatchable they're amazing wish they were still singing
R.I.P Harold Reid now your walking down the streets of gold and I'm sure you are in awesome seeing our Lord And Savoir.. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and to the Statler Brothers may God Bless you all
I live in Nashville and many years ago I had the opportunity to go see The Statlers in concert in a little town southeast of Nashville and they were outstanding. One of the best concerts I have ever attended. I have been a fan of The Statlers since they released Flowers on the Wall and they just kept releasing hit after hit. I don't know of any group, country or otherwise, who has harmony as beautiful as the Statlers. I know that everyone has to retire eventually but I sure hated it when these guys retired. I am delighted to find so many videos of the Statler songs on RU-vid. Thanks for posting this.
Harold, Phil Everly, George, Cash and so many other of our country singing hero's laid to rest. I thank God for their music that will forever be endured. "Elvis has left the Building."❤
It breaks my heart to see them sing knowing that Harold is gone it reminds me that my brother is going also and I miss him a lot unless I'm sure the other Statler Brothers do. God bless Harold
Although Don sang lead and wrote many of their hits Lew was the unofficial leader and their musical director. Lew wrote their first hit in 1965 "Flowers on The Wall" while they were still part of Johnny Cash's entourage.
Sadly, the Oak Ridge Boys don't have much left in the tank. Figure them to scale it back or retire in another couple of years. Other groups that I like include Home Free, Signature Sound, Booth Brothers, and Triumphant Quartet. Check those groups out if you haven't already done so. All good. I would highly recommend them to see in concert.
Can I somehow bring up these programs that were on tv weekly on I pa d just learning this stuff at 71 oops here goes nothing my grand d ani watched these guys. A weekend night in bed eating hot buttered. Popcorn an sipping Coca Cola be of times some one in Somerset Mass
Wow, I remember watching and/or recording all of these awesome shows in the 90's. I still have them all on DVD now, transferred from VHS. I will never forget all those great performances.
Odd, I was voted Future Citizen of Clay back in 1964...I never thought there would b a song written for a place so small...and yes, 32 years have gone by and I have moved back to Clay, Ky.
Phil has so Much Talent,He can fill in anywhere Don slips up on a note or Jimmy ! I don'think I realized He was so valuable (great worth) Because He is More (quiet)! When We saw Them in concerts it was in the 60's or seventy's Herald was SO OUTGOING & Don was quiet But Herald brought Him Out! We were Kids than ! Didn't really look for what We would NOW!
