Although I'm not all to thrilled about how soft & sensitive today's world is I am happy that what happend to Abdul-Rauf back then wouldn't be tolerated today. Our current climate is alot more tolerant to religious beliefs and convictions compared to back then.

Let’s get something straight, he was not Steph before Steph. If you take away those 2 shameful years the league moved the 3 pt line in to compensate for its lack of shooting skill, Mahmoud would be sitting at a 32% career average. It’s not era, it’s not rules, it’s not that Steph was “given” a green light. Steph was so spectacular at shooting, he created his green light by consistently hitting shots that 99.9% of players shouldn’t even be attempting. Steph changed the league, and also changed the definition of what a quality shot is. Rauf was not that guy, Steph clearly is. Let’s not compare a top 12 all time player to a player who isn’t top 300
