I kind of love the storyline where Jem is just desperate for a little... let's say "loving" from Riot. The fact that the Perfect Gal is tempted by the Bad Boy because he offers her everything she wants (To have a man interested only in her and not a Jem/Jerrica love triangle, to be free from all the responsibility always heaped on her shoulders, to get to have the romantic adventures her bandmates do instead of having to be Miss Dependable.) It's a pity the show got cancelled, because the third season brought in some great conflict for Jem herself.
@maxumms it was the 80s ,everyone had big hair.. in movies and toons, and real life.. especially rockers ...duh.. this was one my fave shows in the 80s when i was tween.
@andromaeda5 I know, and it's a shame. I would seriously buy his albums if he sounded like he does as Riot. I watched this show as a child and I preferred the Holograms songs, but as an adult it's Stingers all the way. Their sound and lyrics are somewhat more complex - not to mention the sexiness that is Gordon's vocals.
Riot did make the show very interesting, but I still like Rio maybe if Rio had a love interest of his own than just maybe it would have made the show more interesting at for me
@KelleyLi I just barely missed the 80's (born in 89) so I'm always a little bemused by the styles In spite of it being a bit dated it's not a bad show, as a kid I was more into the GI Joe cartoon and never gave Jem much thought but now that I've seen all the episodes it's pretty good.
Check out Minx practically humping the piano at :12 and :38 I think she might be sexually frustrated from hanging out with Riot all the time and not getting any lovin.
