Censoring your audience is a sure fire why to loose people. You should probably delete this comment. You have posted probably the most unpopular/controversial aspect of AOS, you should expect some back lash.

I'm just making AOS videos because I find the lore fun, and often a nice counterpoint to all-40k all the time. It's engaging to me, and I'd like to bring what I like about it to the world. The muting comment was made in jest. It's just an expression of a tired meme that's gotten old at this point. As the comment says, if anyone seriously has an objection to Stormcast and their lore, just give the video a pass! There'll be a new 40k one in two weeks :)

Fantasy battle lore is waaay better than AOS

@@axelNodvon2047 I don't really like the fantasy genra. I tried getting in the warhammer universes. At first I thought "it is warhammer it must be engaging" the setting is good but I never got engaged.

I mean 40k is a fantasy setting cosplaying as sci-fi right down to the orks, elves, and holy zealots clad in shining armor.

Yeah man I agree. I was all the way put off by the way GW ended the old world and what I saw of the sigmarines and the AOS setting in general, but OI is such a good storyteller he’s made me curious about what AOS has grown into after all this time.

I've come to like Chaos a lot since the initial shenanigans.

@@jj_see_film I'd rather we could coexist tbh. I do hope the Old World will be everything they wanted, so they can be content over there, and not let their sadness over the loss of wfb turn into misplaced teary-eyed rage towards AoS and it's players. Wfb lore will always hold a special place in my heart, but AoS keeps getting better (started off at a very low point, so maybe not surprisingly) and these last years it has become something I could really get into. As for gameplay I wont go back to wfb, if thats what the Old World is, I much prefer AoS in that regard.

Hard to say honestly, but I lean towards the Space Marines not liking the Stormcast since the Humanity of 40K is really xenophobic. Space Marines can barely tolerate working with Races like the Eldar even when cooperation is in both races best interests, while Sigmar is incredibly pragmatic and will work with anyone as long as they don’t threaten his goals and are willing to fight chaos, a Space Marine in the World of AOS would probably lose his mind seeing Humans and Elves living alongside each other and worshipping multiple gods.

I would imagine it depends on which Chapter the Space Marine was from, and under what circumstances they met the Stormcast. While all would be suspicious, I can imagine an Ultramarine or Salamander at least deigning to converse with the Stormcast. Perhaps admiring their dedication to order or the welfare of the innocent. Some Space Marines may secretly be self-conscious, after meeting a warrior that not only is willing to make the ultimate sacrifice, but indeed _had already done so at least once before._ Few if any Space Marines could say the same, aside from those entombed in Dreadnaughts.

I’m not knowledgeable about aos lore, but the miniatures really are p sweet. Warhammer Fantasy’s setting was p special despite all the stuff “borrowed” from other fantasy settings in large part because of the grimdark low-ish(?) fantasy vibe, so I’m still a little skeptical that AoS as high fantasy will have that same feel, but I’m interested giving it a shot to find out. Do you have any recommendations for books or sites for getting into the lore?

Coom Guy I’ve been more invested in AoS lore than 40k lore for a while now because of how refreshing it feels, and honestly there are so many great books out there. Hamilcar explores the struggles of the Stormcast in a humorous way, Callis and Toll is also another good one for exploring the Mortal Realms. If you want something a bit more grim I suggests Dark Harvest. Court of the Blind King, Ghoulslayer, Scourge of Fate, Gloomspite and Soul Wars are also some great novels that I have read. Besides that, the subreddit r/AoSLore is awesome if you want to have conversations or questions, and 2+Tough is the current best lore RU-vidr for AoS.

Nah stormcasts can remember usually something has to trigger those memories usually familiar surroundings and people they knew can spark said memories

Their initial introduction lacked the depth they were later given, and came in the aftermath of the Old World getting blown up, so I don't quite blame people for getting miffed back then. Anyone who remains insisting they're boring, however, is just wrong.

In principle perhaps, but the necrontyr were having their souls eaten, not replaced, small difference but important, the video and lore states they are becoming less human but more, godlike? I suppose, i think is more akin to the avatar of khaine, only much slower and conserving some of it, one could say they are becoming similar to the rubric marines, in a setting like warhammer there are more ways to scald a cat, and more ways to lose your soul to something else. They are becoming more and more like warp entities of order, that's the bottom line. Not sure if it's better or worse than the demons!

I think the most appropriate comparison is Dark Souls, it’s a faction of Dark Souls characters, they’re people who died but were returned to life by a supernatural force that brings them back from death each time, but with each death a little bit of their original self is eroded away until they become a shell of a person, still exist, but everything that made them who they are is gone.

The Lumineth Realm-Lords sound more like they're becoming necrons, their realm stone drains them of emotion, leaving only cold logic

They share chaos and some ideas but are generally separated. Not counting a few Easter eggs

Games Workshop officially says they’re not connected but I love the idea that the world of warhammer fantasy is a world within the eye of terror or within the web way, and that Sigmar is a lost primarch. It can be whatever you want in your own head canon
