@@TheStormkeep Ah you see- that's far too intelligent and forward-planning. I got both Slaves and OBR as I got a nuts-good opportunity to get the xmas boxes, hype full steam ahead. Even if they aren't competitive I love both the aesthetics and how the army feels.

What a great video thank you so much. I love the tier ratings and the pros and cons. I also like how you rank artifacts and traits against the universal ones. And highlight where FAQ is likely.
The Barricade is bananas. Easy B tier, probably A. You have more than enough casts to go around in most lists (especially tripple AAR lists) to cast an endless or two without sacraficing anything, its only 20pts, and can single handedly win games if opponents fail the dispel attempt (around 30% chance without +x to dispel). It also works wonders against any out of sequence moves like Glottkin/IJ/LoN counter charges, Khorne murderlust, redeploys etc. I wouldn't restructure my list to fit it in but I would take it over a triumph bid every day of the week.
It has a great effect against melee armies (especially Ironjawz and Nurgle like you said) but the use is limited to certain matchups. Chance of dispelling it is 72%, and it increases dramatically with primal dice. I would probably never cast it into Khorne since it can feed them Blood Tithe :P Definitely better than a 1980/2000 triumph bid... especially with some armies like Gitz still running around with 1940 for double triumphs. I look forward to re-evaluating it if/when primal dice go away - I love strong movement control effects!
@@TheStormkeep Good points. Whats great about the barricade is how skewed the cost-benefit is. If he uses primals to get rid of it then suddenly a primaled 10+ transformation gets through, or a blizzard, hoarfrost, carrion call or other high impact spell. Againt Khorne yeah its not something you throw without thinking but murderlusts win games all the time, I'll risk a 5+ once or twice a game if it means stopping a game deciding murderlust.
I am curious why you guys say a unit is essentially ethereal? I get that you can take the delusion that makes it highly likely to get a +1 to save, and then the limited possibilities from there
The +1 Save delusion combined with All-Out Attack and Mystic Shield gives you +3 to Saves total. Since Rend-3 is incredibly rare, having +3 to Saves makes you "effectively" +1 and Ethereal since most attacks won't have enough Rend to get through your bonuses

You are supposed to use the point values from the most recent publication - in this case, the FEC Battletome is the most recent. As soon as the Battlescroll comes out his points will be updated. Would you consider using him for 900p?
Even 900 he's not good enough esp for flesh eater courts but I can't see them raising his pts just after lowering them and him still not seeing competitive play. I'm betting they had these books made a long time ago and couldn't change it from when they lowered it.

I think you undervalue the corpsemare stampede because you merely need to beat their wounds characteristic on each d6 to cause mortal wounds. In an army that has so few mortal wound output, it can do some serious work against non-characters
You're right that FEC struggles to deal mortal wounds... or at least it did, until they made Terrorgheists 260p 😂 Another thing to consider is that Merciless Blizzard is around and doing tons of mortal wounds right now. If we weren't playing with primal dice and Blizzard, the Stampede would look a lot more appealing
How would you change the ranking of gristle gore, along with unmounted zombie dragons/terrorgeists with battlescroll changes. Any other changes w/ the point reductions?

They're a legit good strategy now, on par with the typical hollowmourne strategies. They naturally synergize with the archregent and chalice, which are two of the best things in the book Ghoul King on ZD also goes up a tier as a result, but also because he can see play with Terrorgheist spam which will be a thing people do sometimes because stacking those breath attacks with grim garland is crazy"
@@TheStormkeep Also, side caveat, how are you putting the Infernal Courtier into reserves? Gorewarden specifies Crypt Flayers or Morbheg Knights and he is neither, However, he can be teleported with the Gorewarden - the same as any of our GKoTG/ZD, RTG/ZD, Flayers, etc. or anything given Levitate. Also, AAR could summon any courtier or knight unit in the book but they were at min squad size, so 3. He had to go up from 200 pts originally due to him being the only unit in the book that can summon 20 Ghouls and, on release, Ghouls were 100 points and so including 1 AAR meant you automatically gained 20 ghouls in every list.
To be fair, Soulblight units came out much cheaper - 115p Zombies vs 160p Ghouls for example There will definitely be some point/rule changes but I don't think it will be as drastic as Soulblight or OBR.
@@rotm4447 In some ways Ghouls are better, but Zombies have some strict advantages like being able to come in from reserve on gravesites, a chance to revive in the enemy turn, and doing mortal wounds back to melee attackers. Ghouls are better at fighting, but that's only useful if they get a chance to attack! Zombies deal damage passively as they die which can be very useful.
Right, and he needs at least 3 of those to hit + wound + fail save before he even has a chance to kill a 7 Wound HERO... and then the D3s need to roll relatively high, and not get ignored by Wards... Very unlikely that he can snipe out the Archregent and Gorewarden
