Such a down to Earth Guy. I pray that Henley lets Felder on the Last Eagles Show, that would mean so much to Millions of Eagles fans. As he said the interplay of dueling guitar solos is legendary. I attended both the Eagles shows in Cleveland in the last 4 years and I am Heartbroken as a Huge Fan that Felder was not included..

Felder once described as "Mexican Regae" and at the end of the song probably the best guitar "duel "ever with Felder vs Joe Walsh.

Always amazed how gracious and generous he is with his complimentary words for both Henley and Frey...not sure I'd ever have a nice thing to say about either of them ever again.

I grew up listening to Eagles because my parents were huge fans from the 70s and on. I saw them live for my 21st birthday in 2009 with my Mom, aunt, and uncle. This interview was very humble and I like how you could hear zero bitterness or petty feeling in his voice talking about Eagles. Nothing but respect

I have vinyl album Hotel California and i brougth a box set studio albums, what incluyes hotel California of course, and 2016 I also brougth Hotel California for the 40 years of the album

I lived in Asia for many years and every 'band' was playing Hotel California.....so much that i can not listen to that song anymore.

As a very young man i went to the hotel califorinia tour with steve miller band & eddie money it was a great show . One of the best..thx..

it is too bad with Glenn Frey gone that Don Henley and Irving Azoff would not let Don Felder play on one last tour (or at least one last show) on their endless farewell tour. But the tickets are selling and Henley and Azoff see no need to pay Felder any of the money they could keep for themselves. Unless he sold all of his ownership in the band during the legal settlement, I believe that Felder still has some financial interest in the Eagles because he was a full member when they fired him in 2001. they do not need my ticket purchase as they are selling plenty of tickets, but i would pay to see Don Felder and Joe Walsh play together one last time. Otherwise, i will just watch their old RU-vid videos with Joe Walsh, Don Henley, Don Felder, Glenn Frey (RIP) and Randy Meisner (RIP) until Henley and Azoff have the videos removed or figure out a way to monetize them.

Those Radio formulas and the record executives are all a ridiculous mess. I read Don's book. Loved every word. From Gainesville, Don. Grew up around Benmont's parents place, knew Stan Lynch, the Jourards, etc. So much gratitude for your tunes, your teachings to Petty, etc. You are the coolest dude in rock

The Eagles once toured with Jethro Tull. Tull had a song called 'We used to know' from their 1969 album Stand Up. The chord progression is uncannily similar. Everybody borrows. appropriates, and sometimes improves on the original. Felder is a great guitarist. And Jethro Tull were brilliant too. We are all winners from this!

I think Don Felder never received his due on the song Hotel California, it was his chords that set the essence and mood to this great masterpiece. Frey was a jerk and Don too.

I enjoyed how gracious this gentleman is. However, it has to be said that the "best selling" accolade is solely based on the US sales. Michael Jackson's Thriller remains the best selling album worldwide. Thank you.

I respect the opinions of others but I love the Eagles flaws and all.... I just want to see them before I can't and they opened their current tour with 6 SoCal dates then left California and haven't announced anymore California dates. I live in Northern California anywhere between San Francisco and Sacramento has to happen or my heart will be forever broken

Dan Rather is so oblivious to the Eagles history and background that he asks Don about the success of Eagles Greatest Hits Vol. 1 album and for the most part Felder didn’t play on many of those tracks 🙄. Don Felder, being the gentleman he is, calmly explains it to Rather and lets him off the hook. It almost seemed like Rather just assumed “Hotel California” was on their first Greatest Hits album. Do better Dan!
