"Nova Heart" is an '80s hidden gem. The bass line and the synths align meld flawlessly into a groove you can't ignore. In the same class as "Holiday" by Madonna and "Let The Music Play" by Shannon. Fantastic dance record.
Their video 'Nova Heart' continues to intrigue and fascinate me, I also love 'When Time Turns Around' and 'Waterline' also very clever visuals in those videos. Their new albums are on Spotify.
Women bass players are still a bit of a novelty unfortunately, but a nice one! Sandy didn’t have an aggressive or dynamic stage presence when I saw the spoons in a local bar. Most guys were focused on her though :) There’s something about women playing bass that’s just hot. Of course the leather pants were part of that too lol.
