My only advice for improvement would maybe be including any of the extended story parts from spec ops, just to tie up any loose ends or explain random points. For example the forming of TF141 after the fall of the collaboration formed by Captain Price during the warzone story. As this explains how Alex is alive and would also explain Prices efforts to disrupt Victors plans as per the end credits scene displayed after MW19
At the very end of MW2019's campaign there's an end credits scene showing Al-Qatala invade Verdansk. Then Price and Nikolai learn that Laswell and General Kamarov are going to work together to combat Al-Qatala (basically the CIA working with the FSB). And then the spec ops missions happen. And then after that, the Warzone/MP story happens during the seasons of MW2019 and more stuff happens in the story. Then chronologically speaking of course, MWII happens next and all that jazz that's still going on right now.
Wow... You did an awesome job as Alex. He is really one of my favorites. Thank you for that. Thank you for watching the video. I'm glad you enjoyed it!....
I decided to release this early in preparation for MW3. I worked on this for the last couple weeks. It is my first time doing a full story summary. I hope you enjoy. Let me know where I can improve.
Call of Duty may be bad when you have to download an extra 30 GBs just to get out of the menu, but when you actually experience the story, it is amazing.
I loved this video! I'm unable to play the games myself, but I am VERY into the campaign and characters, having watched full walkthroughs for both campaigns. I am unbelievable hyped for MW3 and this video made the hype even greater for me!! Also, I really like your voice. :)
omg that was freaking amazing since mw3 is coming out i needed this i had already played mw1 and pre ordered mw3 so i didnt want to spend another 45$ on a 5 hour campaign this video helps alot thanks!!
What a brilliant story, honestly wish they would make a film, think it would be a high profit film, just wish people didnt ruin cod but story is so perfect
I was iffy about a reboot of modern warfare but after my first play through of the first ones story I was wrong it was good enough to have me excited for MW2 which kind of that impress me the way the first one did but it’s leading up to something huge I can’t wait for MW3
Good video, i never got a chance to play mw2019 but loved mw2 and all the lore ive been finding in DMZ, just the video i was looking for bwfofe mw3 drops
Fantastic job. Do you think those multiplayer story lines (e.g. graves not actually dying) will be important for mw3s campaign or do you think there unimportant. Thanks
I think it should be noted that the MW timeline also shares continuity with the other games being a reboot: -Black Ops 4 (Zombies only/multiverse ending) -The OG Cods -World at War -Vanguard -Caldera -Black Ops 1 -Fortunes Keep -Declassified -Cold War -Rebirth Island -Verdansk 84’ -Cod 4 (All Ghillied Up) -MW19 -Verdansk -MW22 -Al Mazrah
It makes sense now the sudden introduction to zombies into mw3. Cause I was playing bo3 bo4 zombies and I was like "wait a minute". Before that I was super confused with mw3 zombies
thank you for this video!! as a newbie to this franchise i appreciate the rundown of the events cuz there's a lot to unpack... i never knew that CoD had a whole ass story until august this year (everybody was always talking abt the multiplayer which i frankly don't care about) so after i saw bits of soap's and ghost's banter through comms during the "alone" mission i looked up the gameplay and i liked it so much that i bought the game and when i have more time i'll play it myself...
Wow, I hope you enjoy it. The story will be awesome, I bet... but at some point, I think you should try to play either of the games covered here because they are an awesome experience
WOW you saw my comment. I didnt like cod but after watching these kind of videos but for the og i changed my mind.thanks for the video!!!!! @@BranWolfYT
Does nobody else think that it’s cheesy as fuck that they redid the storyline? I loved the characters of soap price etc and the original MW storyline (2007-2011) and I like the story they’ve done with the modern ones but did they have to use the same characters could they not have just made new ones instead of reusing?
This definitely helped to put the entire story into perspective. But there is still one question that I have unanswered: is the other Modern Warfare II set in a different timeline or does it somehow play into the rest of the story?
If you're talking about the modern warfare 2 that was released in 2009... it's a different timeline it has no bearing on what is going on in these games..... and it's a legit question because when the first modern warfare that released in 2019 I had the same question. But anyways I hoped this helped.
This was a phenomenal vid although it’s upsetting that u left out a significant amount of plot from the seasons of both these games as they have a lot of lore in it but I’m looking very forward to mwiii this year
@@BranWolfYT no need to apologize it’s fine, it’s a very lore accurate video still so it does fulfill its purpose good luck in that new campaign when it drops 🥳
Modern Warfare: The horrors of war Modern Warfare II: Teamwork and the reality of “the mission” Modern Warfare III: What the will of a single man can do
As good as the reboot was i had to check back and watch this awesome well put tigether video explaination of the previous 2 game's because lets face it....they are still mowhere near as memorable than the originals!!! 😂🎉❤😅 Alex emasculating himself sucked The "missles" sucked. The old cod we had nukes going off it was way more epic
My only complaints with this storyline is that you gotta play Warzone to know what happened with some character. It also doesn't help that they revealed Alex was still alive. Great video btw, I didn't really enjoy these two but the way you present the story does make it pretty cool.
MW2's story was horrible. Hell MW2019 was only decent. Forgettable villains, fanservice, and a lack of detail (weapons and equipment being lazily designed - like why is fake Al Qaeda using JLTVs? lmao). Only good part about 2019 was the terror attacks, clean house, Farah's past, and the embassy mission. MW2 was straight up shit - forgettable villain, a PMC with an AC-130 over Mexico? And General Shepherd's betrayal was not at all surprising - and still none of the main characters died. Only good bit was Philip Graves, and activision did him so dirty lmao. I was sorta hoping he'd kill TF141 because it really would not make a difference. Oh yeah and after they counted Warzone towards, the story, that's when the storyline started getting SHIT
I feel like MW2019 might be the best campaign and best written story along with BO1. I know that might be big stretch but I genuinely think 2019 is that good. Even though it’s one of the shortest campaigns it still has amazing missions with a diverse throughout such as Piccadilly (fast and loud), clean house (slow and quiet), young Farah (tense and sneaky) etc.
So 141 was created i assumed pitched to General shepherd from price to make the original team overall. And it was created as a nato taskforce at the end of Modern warfare. But what exactly was the alligience of all of them in mw1. Why were all of these brittish military special forces fine with taking orders from american generals. With no input from the UK military. Can someone fill me in?
Dmz (warzone) factions and story mission are canon and directly affects modern warfare 3's story. The official call of duty uploaded a video recently giving a breakdown of dmz story and mw3
@@BranWolfYTModern Warfare 1 and 2 both have cannon post-launch storylines. Also black ops Cold War’s campaign and post-launch story is canon to the timeline. Vanguard is mostly cannon (anything after the season 3 cutscene gets weird).
Just thinking... wouldn't the us military have the means to shoot down the ballistic missiles? And why weren't they informed or prepared for the event? Military politics is my best guess
My only criticism is the Missions in Mexico, ESPECIALLY the AC130 mission. The missions themselves are fine, but the premise is........not that great. The Mexican army is portrayed as all corrupt, while that isnt the case IRL for like 90% of the military. And they are supposed to be using shadow company to not start tensions with Mexico, but they use an AC130 in one mission. There is only one country on Earth that uses the AC130. Mexico is going to know the US was involved. How do you think Mexico and the world are going to react to an American plane Bombing a Mexican town to oblivion?
not only that, but the devs have gotten so complacent and lazy, that every faction uses JLTVs. MW2019 and MW2022 were both horrible storywise. MW2019 was decent, with Clean house, the terror attacks, Farah's past, etc. But all the villains are forgettable and have no purpose behind them - lazily written. Villains from the old games were well written, in fact people to this day argue that Imran Zakhaev was the good guy - I've seen people argue that he was a hero IRL!! These newer villains are just horrid
@@BranWolfYT it was based on a book written by cris Kyle. He was a notorious liar who, according to him, murdered civilians on US soil after hurricane Katrina.
Nice video, but in my opinión besides MW1, the story telling, and realistic aspects in MW2 and MW3 are some of the WORST ive seen. To compare this story to other great stories in our industry like RDR2, the Witcher or BO1 is just NUTS. This story is so unrealistic, full of plot armor, and missing originality; with the bonus that MW continues to copy and recycle previous games. What is happening to our industry!!!
It's sad to see the lack of effort, passion and inspiration from developers. You guys are an AMAZING community, You deserve better Quality (considering the price), You deserve A BETTER GAME!!!
The fact that developers recycle content from MW1, the previous games, and WZ... To sell it as new content, for 70 dollars, again and again is insulting. You guys are getting robbed, OPEN YOUR EYES!!!
Yet... Great video!!! Keep it up, keep doing what you love. It would be great if you can explain shepperd's betrayal in the Golden Age in another video!!!
Found MW2 campaign underwhelming, they need to bring back the old formula of lots of enemies to kill before moving on to the next section. Like COD 4 MW. I like the feeling of cleaning up the bad guys and then moving to the next stage. Too much “cinematic” gameplay makes it boring.
