Mike talked about the lore in one of his blog posts. He explained the reason for the limited lore is partly because he doesn't like writing fiction. But also because he wanted fans to be able to create their own world and stories, just like this video does. So I unlikely we'll get any more official lore. I prefer it this way though personally. Just enough to ground the world but not so much as to get in the way.

Looks like only one of you is an innersphere man (who isnt a capellan)
