Thank you so much for covering this story. To add on: Sylvia didn’t know that her husband/baby daddy was an ex-convict. She said that when she started dating this man she would always see police regularly visiting her baby daddy and they would park at the gate and talk to him and when she ask him why, the baby daddy would lie to her. (Remember the man was on parole so I think you have to be checked on regularly when you are on parole and police have to find you at home) Another point is that, she didn’t want to date this man but her aunt encouraged her to since she was poor and “the man is much older and matured so he will take care of her” her aunt words 🤍
This case is insane. This man was given a second chance at life and found a good woman who gave him a chance despite his horrible past but instead of cherishing it, he actively destroyed it. He basically punished this woman for loving him. It reminds me of the Major and Namhla case... I wonder how that ended...

I purposely left that out and focused on the villain because she made a choice which could've had a happy ending, whether out of being young or in being love or being taken advantage of or not knowing any better, that is not for me to judge. I remember watching her (the mother) on Ufelani and her story broke me. Such evil and cruelty from a person they least expected it from...their dad 😢😢 It brings me joy to know she's moved on and she gets to have someone call her mom again.

This happened in my town and we’re still shocked to this day, Sylvia is still trying to find her feet after all this, she event to a tv show to ask for assistance in getting her belongings back from this man’s home. What a monster🥹💔
I get suspicious of parents that always post pictures of children or people who always tell social media how much they love their children instead of telling them. The woman made a blunder by getting married to a man who had committed such a crime before. This woman really lowered her standards for this man. She could have gotten a better younger man. I thought i was the only one, cos I always tell people who says i don't like posting my family that it's because I don't need to prove to anyone how much I love them but to them and them only. Yes, I live next to a lady who keeps on saying that her children are her life buy she doesn't hesitate to leave them alone to stay with different men, I remember the other day her 5 year old daughter slept at my house cos she left for JHB with a man and the 2 brothers 14 and 10 were not at home. I completely don't agree with her parenting.

Go into fasting and prayers for two weeks to ask God if you should go ahead with the person or not. At this time of seeking the consent of God, ensure that no engagement takes place or any sexual relations. If God gives you the go ahead then go but if no answer, do not go. Wait patiently for the Lord. If the Lord answers, then go ahead but no sexual contact until after marriage. The few people out of the multitude that take this direction never regards it.

This is so heartbreaking 💔. I know our upbringing, financial / emotional / physical circumstances influence our life choices, but I wish people would think before they act in emotional situations. If people could just step back and realise that "this circumstance I'm currently in will change, and I must just be calm and get through it" so many bad things could be avoided. Why kill someone if you are going to sit in jail for it? You could rather walk away.... and perhaps in a year's time your life may be completely different..... very sad😢
