this was a really great video, very through! I had wanted to do a video myself on this subject but honestly you did an amazing job, so much research! thank you so much for posting, its hard to find much info on her online. Its so devastating she did not get royalties for book sales or the logo design!

The financials at 25:35 is pretty tragic. That she got a flat fee with no royalties for future re-usage is unconscionable by the publishers. Her design for the Harry Potter logo used by the films and future books could have provided instant retirement funds. Too many illustrators lack an agent or the savvy to get themselves good contracts with publishers. The fact the published moved on to lesser artists for later books using possibly digital techniques indicates their modus operandi. Another unique & wonderful artist whose talents were taken advantage of.
