What an exciting development indeed. Now just imagine also the further development of solar energy generated electrical power storage such that the therefore necessary weight and mass become almost negligible, thus allowing yet more freight etc. capacity. 8)

Maria Baião You are preachin' to the choir. In my opinion SOLAR IMPULSE is HUGE (right up there with "The Wright Bros. first flight) & should be @ the top of the list reported on by ALL media (of course we all know why they are not!)! I heard a small blurb on NPR when they made their transcontinental flight and missed seeing their flight in San Francisco by ONE DAY!!! I still am brooding over that one..........

Sounds like a great invention. Would be interesting to know how it shall be used in practice. Shall it be possible to carry enough passenges / luggage to compete with common airplains?
