The only thing that fails more then prayer is god. God supposedly hides himself so as not to affect our "free will", but God did not hide himself in the stories of the Bible. So if God ever DID show himself, as it is written in the Bible, then that means he changes, because he has never shown himself in modern times. If he changes, he is not perfect. If he is not perfect, he is not "God" and the Bible is false.
