The Story of the Stalkers | Lies of P

The owl doctor is Watson. The apartment is 221b which is a reference to 221b Baker Street, the apartment of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson. The owl doctors uniform is actively a British army doctor uniform

Carlo actually did become a stalker, he graduated from the Monad Charity House. And gave his graduation necklace to Romeo to spite his father.

Legendary stalker might be Lady Antonia, because she hinted she was "fierce" in her youth, and she knew Carlo, was closest friend of Gepetto, and has ties with alchemists.

Three things I've noticed on my 3rd and current playthrough: - The Survivor wears a mask that's literally two-faced; right side a white mouse and the left either a black rat or a cat of some kind. As the Rookie stalker's masks are chosen by their superiors, whoay have seen how cowardly and deceitful he was. - the Survivor's "brother" is named Leo, which could reference a lion, which tells of how different they were, maybe even a reference to the Mouse and Lion fable. His outfit also mentions noble and Pride, which are traits associated with lions. - The red Apple you can buy and give to Adelina, may be a Snow White reference, as she was seen as the most beautiful Belladonna in Krat and dies not soon after we give her said apple. The Major difference is that she wasn't poisened by an older sister and here it's the other way around.

For legendary stalker, there is also an evidence that legendary stalker was indeed going to the path of cricket style since the loading screen said she is not bastard or sweeper. When you fighting Black Rabbit Brotherhood in malum district after you knock out the last brother he will say something that your move is not bastard nor sweeper. It could be Carlo actually self-train himself after seeing the legenday stalker "Cricket" fighting style without knowing that its not Bastard or Sweeper fighting style. Since in the memory there is no way Carlo got traind by legendary stalker bcuz she refused Carlo request till he died and she was regretting her decision.

One of the Korean lies of P lore videos talked about a theory of Antonia = legendary stalker = Isabelle Monad Considering there were written texts in the game regarding La Bleiwis wine having a cherry scent, which there's a text that the legendary stalker also enjoyed this particular wine, and Antonia's final letter to us indicating that the letter was cherry-scented. Also regarding Antonia's affluence and the game providing zero indication of the house "Cerasani" which is Antonia's last name. Most of the other rich houses such as Volfe or Monad are mentioned frequently but considering Antonia's reputation of being noble, ladylike, and having enough capital to purchase a "haunted" place to renovate into Hotel Krat...is odd (according to the lore theory vid). So it could be that Isabelle Monad left her former name behind after all the incident regarding Valentinus & Sofia, then started using a different name. Antonia also sounds like she cares a lot about P, which may have come from her sentiment towards Carlo, in which she saw him die. And with P resembling Carlo, Antonia gives him the clothes he used to wear during his time at Monad Charity House and cares about him too. I mean this is one game theory but I think it makes a lot of sense connecting the dots

ok so this is a COMPLETE shot in the dark but I think it might be possible we actually meet the legendary stalker again in the game there's a certain questline where you get a certain wine for this old lady its the same exact wine that the paper said the legendary stalker liked! not to mention the reward we get is a vintage collectable for viginni the coin it says it was given to its founding supporting members so this person was involved with the upbringing of krat so very well could have been a stalker!

Random thought here but has anyone else noticed the 'Proof of Humanity' weapon is a pair of scissors? As in to cut puppet strings and prove you're human? 😂 just something I noticed today on NG+ and wondered if anyone else has had similar thoughts Edit: found out this is literally the description of the weapon 😂 well perhaps it speaks volumes to the way this game is made that I could figure that out while being a brainlet by not reading the description first 🤣

Theory - Carlo wasn't killed by the disease, he was killed in the battle of the workshop. And his mentor failed him. My prediction is the legendary stalker was/is Red Fox. She then took on another "little brother" in Black Cat. I believe that's why she says - "I don't want to fight, not you anyway". Of course I could be 100% wrong: )

For some reason i interpreted the Donkey stalker saying, "Stop showing up" as him some how remembering Carlo after you do NG+. Only reason why I felt that way is because I don't recall him saying that line on my first playthrough. I could be totally making this up tho, just sharing thoughts. Thank you for these videos!

Love the video! I have a few extra thoughts I think "H" in Medero's journal is probably referring to "Hound" though, not Alidoro's real name. It might also be possible that Lumacchio from the same journal is the Legendary Stalker. Google translate says that it means "Snail", another character from Pinocchio, and the snail motif matches up well with the Legendary Stalker "being too late" to save Carlo. Hopefully we will find out in the dlc!

One other connection between Stalkers, 2 characters both have a similar line, the Red Fox and the (battle ready?) brother both comment on P’s moves saying “I’ve seen those moves before” and the fox outright saying the legendary stalker so maybe the legendary stalker taught P?

An interesting and very important fact to keep in mind is that the loading screen facts actually have lies in them! I wish I could remember where the post was that broke it down, but there are numerous details/historic events that are mentioned about pre-game events that through the environment storytelling turn out to be blatant lies. The biggest indicator of this is that there are a lot of facts that don't seem to correlate, with what the loading screen says about the charity house specifically, to the notes we find littered. So truthfully, I think it's far more likely Carlo's death was a foul play by the alchemists. Also, while we all thought the loading bar saying "NOW LYING..." instead of "NOW LOADING..." was just a cheeky pun, it may be more literal than we thought.

There is one little detail about the Black Cat revealed only on the credits: his name is Lucio.

Thumbs up for pointing out that the Cat deceived the Fox by saying they're long-lost siblings, but where did you find the info about the Fox figuring it out? The last one is something I didn't know. Also, interesting point on the "path of the cricket." I always wondered why we only encountered bastards and sweepers, and cricket made no sense, but the individualistic legendary stalker and gemini along with the path of the cricket make sense.

The Mad Donkey's lines and records about things repeating, seeing things again, etc seem to imply that he had the same help from Sophia that Pinocchio later receives: the power to rewind time so that he can Dark Souls the sh♡t out of the problems. But it appears his mind couldn't handle the endless suffering and went mad.

I missed a lot these facts despite reading everything very carefully during my first playthrough ... well done 👍

I think the legendary stalker is that old lady in the wheelchair. Their voices are similar and she seems to care about P (Carlos) a lot.

Amazing! I never put together the one-wing reference on the Whote Lady! It’s also an occultic reference to a fallen angel, so that adds another layer. You may be tired of the reference, but what Vaati does for Souls, you are doing for Lies of P. Keep it up! I’ll follow it the whole way.

Its not mentioned by anyone ive watched or read, but since ergo and descartes are mentioned in the game i think its interesting to note that tye devs also subtlety throw the idea of monads in the game (you know, since libeniez ans descartes were both grouped in the modern philosophy era).

I seen somewhere the theory that the mad Donkey was actually Lampwick, from the original novel. Friend with Romeo and Carlos, he actually go after Gepetto because he want to know what happened to them. He must have seen as a child Carlos being killed and got nightmares from it. It's also how he know that we are Gepetto puppet, because he recognize Carlos face and know he is dead, so the figure before him can only be a puppet.

After watching this video I have one thing to say: DAMN THIS GAME'S STORY GOES HARD.

My theory is that The *Fox* went with the *Cat's* story is because she wants to get rid of the guilt when she wasn't able to save Carlo before the Legendary stalker and the Fox has the same Dancer sword, and same clothing (different mask, changed? because wants a new identity fresh even?) also the Fox fits the Bastard or a Sweeper persona, because she was a Bastard but travels in the Sweeper area where she probably met the Cat the Fox also has the line when you fight her that P might be the only real challenge she has

Mad Donkey only gives the dialogue about the puppet showing up again and again/being a dream or a nightmare if you die to him and come back for another attempt. If there's no other supporting lore that says Mad Donkey was having visions of the puppet, then it's likely his dialogue is acknowledging P's seeming immortality.

i legit didnt know you could emote to greet the Atoned, dont know if thats 2nd playthrough content or not. but i loved to see all the secret interactions and stuff, like what happens if you dont send alidoro to the hotel ? or dose he end up at the hotel no mather what and i lost out on some good lies XD

The Black Rabbit Brotherhood reminds me of the Marcus brothers from Vampire Hunter D bloodlust movie, the Big guy died first and they then sworn revenge..then the other Rabbit also had arm crossbow attached to his arm, much like Borgoff from Vampire Hunter D.

Great to see more people talking about lies of P. My burning curiosity is the story behind the trinity rooms. The trinity is the father, son, and holy spirit. It could be for guipetto, carlo, and pinnochio? Maybe its a different god like the one the alchemists contacted? Why does the king of riddles have the only keys? It makes for great discussion

I killed the fox and the cat because i thought they were making the blindness disease up after tricking me multiple times since black cats voice doesn't sound honest when you have to make the final choice. But apparently it was.
