The fact that he didn't have an obvious "motive" makes this heinous assault even more terrifying. No greed, lust, jealousy, revenge. Just pure evil and a hatred of women. This is the worst kind of sociopath! Marty, you are truly an inspiration. Best wishes to everyone.❤🙏
He’s the scariest kind there is. He randomly decided to go back to her house, ring the doorbell, and absolutely pound on this poor woman. All that rage- for what? She said something you didn’t like? Looked at you a certain way that you misinterpreted? Didn’t pay you fast enough? What possible reason could he have given for this rage? He needs to remain in prison. He is a danger to society and everyone in it.
That man is a demon on earth. I'm so glad Marti survived this. It's amazing those coworkers actually went to check on her. So much to be thankful for in this story.
The doctors did an absolutely amazing job. Makes you respect them a lot. It's literally equivalent to putting life in an otherwise lifeless body. Also, Marti is such a strong woman, I am so freaking proud of her. She chose to survive and that should be an inspiration for many.
Those are some amazing coworkers right there. What they did for her and going out of their way to see if she was okay and to recognize something felt off and to do something about it, proud of them.
I live alone, widowed pretty young. I’ve had many problems with workmen over the years. They seem to think that you need a man, welcome sex, want attention - then can get very aggressive when you don’t. They also try to over charge, scam you - and get threatening very quickly. With no man around, they think you’re stupid. And vulnerable. It happens a lot.
The editor of this video did amazing work! Waiting to bring in Marti’s interview halfway through, after learning about the extent of her trauma, made seeing her alive and well even more impactful. 👏
I don't understand why people who do this get such short sentences. The fact that she did not die is sheer luck. For all intents and purposes he murdered her. In his mind and heard he committed MURDER. So why does he get a lighter sentence just because she survived???? That is INSANE.
This was the best 48 hours I’ve seen. I think Brian Pennington should have received at least 50 years instead of 28 and 1/2 years. Very scary to know that there are people like him in this world.
28.5 years isn’t enough time. God Bless Marti, her family, her legal team, and her amazing work friends who actually saved her life by being engaged and actively concerned.
It's amazing that this lady survived, she has true grit. All the medical staff and the legal team that caught and got this man out of harms way are also amazing. I wish them all the very best.
