Gilmore and Keshaw need to have a moment where they're just drinking in a bar, talking about how the half elves they like don't feel the same way, and see how long it takes for them to realize that their respective half elves fell for eachother.

It was really cute that Scanlan, just as a quick aside, said he played cards by himself before going to bed. He was thinking about Kaylie.

Man, Matt really showed a huge range of roleplaying skills in this episode. I didn't even think of Gilmore, Jarett, the guards, the dragonborn, the townsfolk, and especially Gilmore's parents as voiced by one person. In my mind he just _became_ those people. This show is the best piece of entertainment I've ever found.

If Percy and Scanlan don't get an airship when the conclave is destroyed we riot.

I'm watching these episodes on a playlist, and letting it automatically play. And the first thing I hear after a very heavy, emotional ending to the previous episode is Taliesin saying "Pissblossom". 💀

I know that the only reason some started calling Gilmore By his first name was because they FORGOT IT and then were reminded, but I think the fact that it happens right around all this tragedy shows the bond between them being strengthened. Like... before it was Gilmore the fantastic flirty merchant who was a friend they were excited to come back to. Now it's more like... Shaun. A powerful man but still just that. A man. Someone who can be broken or killed. Someone they have to look out for because they care about him and do not want to lose him. And I think that subtle change shows a lot of development.

I'm waiting for the episode when Scanlin and Percy steal an airship.

I know I'm massively late to the party, but Sam is a fucking gem. Originally I thought he was passive person, only to find out he's the most subtle centerpiece to a story that ever existed. Legitimately charismatic beyond measure, never meta games, creates unique songs on a consistent basis?! Scanlon all day, every day. I love you Sam. Keep on keeping on

I love Gilmore. He just gives and gives, and it's obvious how much he cares for the VM. I just want him to be happy all the time and never feel any pain or suffering.

Grog butchering local expressions is aways hilarious to watch, because he totally surprises the other players with it.

Liam regarding Gilmore's parents: "They were a couple of sweethearts." Sam: "They're both over 70 so who's going to kill them?" Wonderful throwback, LMFAO!

I love that they asked for the spice exactly once, was told they "hadn't heard of it" and went straight to assuming it was illegal drugs.

Vax's double 1s is why dice are sometimes the best storytellers ;)

I love watching Matt's face when characters have really deep, personal moments together like Kiki and Vax, it literally reads "look at my babies, growing up and falling in love."

Damn if I had a coin for every time members of Vox Machina lose track of what time it is in the game and get day-drunk by accident, I’d be the cause of the current coin shortage

Percy and Keylith being in sync while drunk was awesome. And then Percy flirting poorly with the oddities keeper. I love Percy. Finished this one on May 3rd 2021

I love watching Matt play other people's characters. His Kashaw is one of my favorites. He really captures the essence of Kashaw's deadpan humour and it's so spot-on I love it.

I love that the party completely glosses over the "where the luck comes to you" card for the one eyed merchant, so Matt just works the casino into the story some other subtle way. Such a good DM

Keyleth ruining Percy's haggle by blurting out "that's a healing potion" is the most Keyleth thing ever.

kash is like my favorite non-VM character and how Matt portrays his indifference is just comedy "so you want me to go back to frozen ass vasselheim and deliver a paper message" and Taliesin, "that's exactly the enthusiasm I was expecting from you brother kash"

I LOVE how Matt just lets his players run with the game until they get TOO far off track, and then he gently gets them back on track, letting them continue with their shenanigans all the while. +100 DM points!

I never thought I'd be so emotionally invested in watching people play pretend... I cried when they found Tiberius... hats off to Matt Mercer for creating such a driving story

2:10:28 - When Sam orders the mansion staff to make "Chicken" ravioli & Travis reacts, it reminded me of the summer I was 13. The budget had been rather tight since my mother's divorce so we'd become masters with clipping coupons & hitting sales, etc. Beef prices were a bit insane so we'd cultivated a love/hate relationship with chicken. Now don't get me wrong...I love chicken...NOW, at least. Anyway... The boon of a huge sale on whole fryers came about & even further solidified the stranglehold chicken had on our daily menu. We were thankful we wouldn't be going hungry any time soon as Mom filled our chest freezer with both whole fryers & packets of meat broken into their varied parts. The only thing NOT chicken related was cereal for breakfast...hahahaha! I was so, so, SO sick of chicken! Then the gods sang & joy rang out within my little heart when she comes home from work one day with a bag of, not chicken, but hotdogs! I had never been so happy for another type of meat in my whole 13 yrs of life!!! As I folded the paper bag, she set about putting the hotdogs in a fridge storage container. I was in heaven as I trotted to the fridge every day to grab a couple of hotdogs for lunch. Mom was diligent in refilling the container & we'd joke about the magically-filling hotdog box. Fast-forward to early August & I go to grab a couple of dogs for lunch but the container was oddly empty. I call Mom & ask & she's quickly telling me where the packages are in the freezer & she hurries off of the phone. I grab a step-stool & my grand 5'3" self is waist deep into the freezer to grab a pack so I can fill the container for a change when the phone starts ringing. Needless to say, I didn't get to the phone fast enough. A couple of minutes pass & the phone rings again... I already knew who was on the phone when it rang again because just as it began to ring. I was in the process of having filled the designated container &, turning to toss the wrapping into the trash, felt my face fall in abject misery as I read the package label of chicken hotdogs :( Answering the phone, I said, "I already know...see you later." She broke into gales of laughter, despite being at work. I couldn't look at another hotdog for many years without feeling ill but, thankfully chicken can be made into so many amazing things, right? As a subtle reminder after I'd started earning my own paycheck years later, the prank gifts of chicken recipes began in earnest...including full cookbooks of only chicken recipes! Just another story that causes us both to break down into fits of laughter. Hope you enjoyed it!

You can really see how mature the three of them are about the whole situation in Matt's face alone while the Vaxleth stuff is happening. He's giddy and it's like he's watching his favorite ship on his favorite tv show finally get together

The best part of the "you spice?" joke isn't Sam's delivery, or the kids' reactions, but Taliesin's incredibly contagious laughter 😂😭 I love him

1:31:06 is one of my favorite moments from the entire arch. Matt never says that it's a drug the NPCs have just never heard of the spice. Scanlan just assumes it is something illegal and starts this entire drug deal story line because Matt is a sneaky DM.

I love how enraptured Laura looks while meeting Gilmores parents. She is just in love with them. It's a great moment.

Favorite part: when Keyleth says I love you Vaz and travis just froze with the cup to his mouth.

Rest In Peace the Gilmore Dragon theory. It was great, but it’s hard to recover from meeting his very human parents.

Every time they meet Gilmore I keep praying they give him a bunch of their excess magical weapons and items. Like I get having some key weapons and utility items but I'm almost certain they've got enough gear to equip a dozen adventurers at this point. Gilmore said specifically that if they had any items they didn't need he'd like to take them so he can restock.

Liam's completely unfettered laughter may be one of my fav parts of critical role as a whole.

Screams of laughter at, "When I started using, I was your height." My two dogs nearly had a heart attack.

11:30 Heck yeah, this is what I stayed up till 3 am to see Sidenote: binging critical role cannot be a healthy hobby when you're several years late...
