Having a bench record does NOT make a you the strongest man in the world, winning strongman by kicking ass in 10 different events makes you the strongest man in the world.
Ehh. When it comes down to who's the fastest in the world nobody argues why it's measured by time so why complain when the strongest man measured by how much weight he can lift. Not how far he can carry something/ other big man events. It's all about numbers.
Erick Pacheo even if there was one lift that determined who is the strongest man in the world, sure as heck wouldn't be bench press. Would either be the deadlift or the clean and Jerk
Erick Pacheco Then olympic lifters should be the strongest because they are complete movements. Also strongmen put out the biggest numbers on deadlifts, overhead presses, squats etc...
bench presss makes him the strongest man in the world? I thought the man who wins ''worlds strongest man'' would be the strongest man in the world.. silly me.
+jfmn24 Misleading, right? A lot of people are clearly confusing powerlifters with strongmen competitors. Yes, Scott has a few records. But only in bench press. Not nearly strongest powerlifter, and not even nearlier world strongest men.
Nice to see these two guys both go after their dreams from their pre teen days and actually accomplish their goals. Shame to see so many trolls hate because they will never achieve anything than being "that douche" on the Internet instead of actually working for something worthwhile in life. Props on the success guys.
Chas Stack "somebody" ? Doesn't matter what kind of video/picture/discussion you open on the internet, the top comments will always be people calling eachother assholes and retards, simply because they have a different opinion about something.
Thomasgipsy On record... there are a couple boys from the old days that may have actually been stronger but it can't be proven but I totally agree Zydrunas is the beast!
Hafthor will be his superior, he beat him in pretty much everything last WSM, the only reason he lost to Z by half a point is because he didn't use a squat suit on the squats like was allowed (where he failed big time), he is still only 26 and nowhere near his prime and superior to pretty much everybody.
oliskranz he's very much like Big Z as Big Z was on the same track if it wasn't for the damn politics in WSM and they split into IFSA and WSM because of an internal feud in the head offices Big Z would have already hit a couple more titles but because some people at the WSM didn't like his views on things he ended up having to compete in the IFSA instead... frustrating to say the least because now at 40 he is making up for lost time! LOL
+Nighato he was taking gh for 10 years and roids for 25+ his genetic potential is raised pretty high and his ability to train at a higher intensity from steroids is there too hes not natural but definitely doesnt use synthol
Who the fuck wants to waste 15 Years in the gym which doesnt include the copious amount of chicken breast you have to buy to get that big. Get it all in 2 years with little to no side effects if you properly come off your cycle.
Blake Hanson for starters, thats the chicken shit cheaters way of getting big. secondly, you can NEVER leave the gym. the second that guy stops working out it will literally all turn to fat, that is a side effect of roids, they diminish much faster than natural body builders.
Personally i dont believe in steroids, it always seems like a cheat to me. I prefer to build my strength naturally, it might take me longer and its definitely harder work but its also more satisfying ultimately.
Well I agree but being as big as Rich naturally is impossible. You can't gain much muscle naturally. However I respect natural guys and unnatural guys who are honest.
It is impossible to get as strong naturally as you could on steroids. Steroids are less cheating and more like sacrificing parts of your health for increased performance and muscle size.
Sooo not taking steroids is harder? If anything it's EASIER, to maintain that bigger body you have to eat a pretty size able amount everyday and work your ass off, it's not as easy as people say it is. I don't take steroids but in my gym I know guys that do and they work their asses off to keep that bigger body. It's not really a cheat either, if it was you could just take it, do nothing and still get bigger. I think the only benefit it does for you is that it makes your bigger beyond your natural body limit
+The Kids in Africa Your logic is off, please try to be more precise. I34052 is saying that it is easier to gain size & strength while taking steroids, and that is a factual statement. Because steroids increase testosterone production and keep you in an anabolic state, in addition to other side-effects, it is easier to work at a maximum capacity for a sustained period of time (months/years) because the body repairs itself quicker due to increased rate of protein synthesis (and other positive benefits). In other words, you can work out harder and recover faster, therefore leading to an increased rate of hypertrophy over time when compared to someone who is natural; increased hypertrophy coupled with a good/varied training program is positively correlated with increased strength. Your statement that, and i'm paraphrasing, 'its easier to to gain muscle/strength naturally, and it is harder to to gain muscle/strength on steroids because it requires more work' makes no real sense, logically. You are comparing the biochemical benefits of anabolic steroids with the work required to maximize their positive side-effects. Apples and oranges my man. This kind of nonsense bro-logic is thrown around a lot, and without much thought put into it. When people say that they feel that taking steroids is cheating, they are referring to the biochemical side-effects that allow them to recover faster, work out harder, and thus make bigger gains when compared to doing it naturally. You simply could not work out at that capacity naturally, because you would eventually injure yourself. No, instead the correct statement is that: Nothing makes the process of gaining muscle/strength easier, because you still have to do the work, but steroids help you do it more often and with greater intensity. In the end, if you took steroids and worked out just as much as you did before, you would see an increased rate of muscle and strength gains, as well as fat loss and reduced recovery time beyond what you originally were accomplishing. If you worked out even harder, then, you would see even more gains. Its not that its more or less difficult, its that you simply can.
He's not even the strongest bench presser in the world anymore, Sarychev has a 716 lb bench and Spoto holds the all-time WR with 722 lbs. Meeker and Kennelly both surpass his shirted lifts.
jess nicole Doh! Blood "type"? They test for steroids all right but since anybody with some knowledge can get big on roids and then stop just before the contest by which time the blood is clean your treasured tests at comp time don't do shit. Wakey wakey... all top athletes dope.
Daniel Skipp I tell people that all the time and they don't listen. They want to believe their heroes are out competing other athletes who are on PED's. How can somebody possibly be the absolute best at something out of 7.5 billion people while competing against doped up competition? It is simply impossible. People are so ignorant about how things work in the real world. I actually had somebody tell me that Lance Armstrong couldn't have possibly been on roids because he was skinny. Can you believe that?
I miss Anthony Clark from South Houston high school. He was the reigning world lifter but passed away at thirty-eight years young. In high school, he was squatting 800 lbs. or more. The slapping on the face reminds me of the movie, Over the Top.
Hey Rich u should do a training video with scott. That would be awsome. Like a training video u did with Bostin. U should get vetrans like this or people like Kali Muscle and do collab lifting videos. That could be your thing that would be sick bro.
Blazed Duck lool, thats tru. But if its jsut a montage of them training should be alright. Training video with the hulk smash dude would be kool. Dunno if theyve done one.
+Brent z True...and there's a para-olympian (Rahman Siamand) who has no legs that can bench just as much if not more (and under stricter olympic rules).
I see a lot of hate towards these guys, but they seem happy and are doing what they love to do for a living. I say good for them. It's their bodies and they know what they are doing, so let them be happy I say. To each is own I guess.
Now I know why Scott is so strong on the bench his arms are very short and massive bones. When they had the staredown his arms are almost 1 fist shorter than Rich's
this dude looks like he fell into a giant pot of battery acid and was evolving into a human super strong mutant but then his body just said no and stopped halfway..
