I was 20 when the Jam broke up, and I was devastated. Little did I know that Paul's best music was still ahead of him. I love the Mick-Paul-Dee interplay on this performance.
This song reminds so much of early Chicago, when they were the best live band in the world in the early 1970's. I know Paul was a fan, but this performance really brings it out. What a great video to see them like this.
According to Style Council A&R man and friend of the band Dennis Munday in his book he claims that Dee voice was tweaked up a lot for the Showbiz album and the audience applause sound was beefed up with applause from a jam concert
