This cheap mic sounds actually really good. Throw it through Voicemeeter to add some reverb and low ends and boom: professional audio. I use my blue yeti for that because of the zero latency monitoring.
I bought this for my sons streaming and am very happy with the quality sound, build and price. It was easy to install and plug and played right out of the box.
Have a look at the new Maono AU-PM401. From what I saw, it's the same thing, but you get a headphone jack for zero latency listening, a mute button and an on/off led. It seems like the perfect bundle!

people that want a listen feature because the mic lacks an audio jack for headsets. Install voicemeeter banana and a virtual audio cable, make sure your mic and headset are set to the same frequency and add mic playback as one of your inputs in the EQ software.
I bought this Microphone when I found that the Blue Yeti was unavailable due to ??? and since they raised the price almost 30%. The first few reviews I saw of this Mic were good enough to convince me that for the money I was safe to buy it. Once I received it I was relieved that it was working well, and worked even better after I followed a few tutorials on Filters. Glad to see your review agrees with my limited experience. I'm sure this Mic will do all I need until I'm ready to move up to a PRO Mic.
Good to know I made an excellent choice in terms of quality to price ratio. Unfortunately my own boom arm does have some creaking/spring noises - you can hear me move the arm quite prominently but it doesn't have a big impact if you don't mess with it. I thought the headset plug was fascinating, but I am honestly excited to have received everything in a single package. Great first mic set to own
Been using it for a while. Got it for a nice 38 bucks (arm included) on sale. It's working really well for that money. It may not be a high end but it's a perfect starter mic if you're low on cash.
Its a great microphone at low cost compared to big budget microphone. Noise reduction is excellent even better than a dynamic microphone i used AKG D5. you have to just keep the original setting and record using the pop filter. Process the sound using effects Noise reduction, Compression, EQ (bass and treble), Normalize and if required echo. Thats all you need. Excellent quality without distortion . Most people donot aware its quality. I am using it even in slightly noisy environment. Using it for karaoke song recording.
Just saw this video. Bought the Maono on Amazon early on during the lockdown and it's served me well for months. Sounds great. Being a condenser mic means I get more noise from the a/c and slight echo from my small office, but for using it on Zoom and podcasting, it's all you really need...
I've decided to start focusing on my youtube channel and help my friend with his music which doesn't sound great with the mic he used so I decided to help him start his own channel and try to grow my own and I think that this mic will be great for both of us
Maono sounds way better, Blue Yeti USB Microphone (16bit / 48kHz) Audio subsystem while MAONO AU-A04TR is a (24bit and upto 192KHZ) much much better dynamic range.
Hey, Shane (Sean?)! Fyi, Maono now has a budget podcasting/streaming mixer called the MAONOCASTER on Kickstarter. It looks like a super budget ($129 USD) answer to the GoXLR and the RØDECaster Pro.
if you want 20hz-20Khz then buy the bm700 by tonor it used to cost 32 dollars but now its 39.99 its a good microphone for the price but remember it picks up a lot of background noise but you can flush that out in discord or obs if you wanna do that
If You Have Alot Of Background Noice Dont Buy That But The Samsson q2u Best For streaming it give you a crisp radio voice and blocks a big portion of background noice and its same pricve as this
I am having a problem where when I put this microphone through any software it sounds static and bad. When I use the microphone without soft wear it is completely fine. Anyone have suggestions?
This is for all of you who have a question about if it sound good/is it worth it. My answer is yes. This is very good for the price it self and the quality lf it and the soind is nice as well. But you will not get a better quality than the blue yeti of course. You can get a better voice quality with voicemeter as well.
I honestly was turned off by the Blue Yeti which is a bit amazing. Not a bad microphone *especially for all of that for the price) but needs more bass. It is always better to remove than to try and add in post. btw, the link you have to maonoglobal for this product is 404 and I am unable to find it on Amazon so it may no longer be made.

What Maono microphone is this because I have been searching but nothing pops up. Or I'm just being dumb. If anyone knows please comment because it would be really helpful. And please tell me when I am being dumb and it's right in front of my eyes on the screen. It would really be helpful since I am thinking of getting it.

So my original Procaster had a weird fault with it. I may do a follow up video comparison. I got my hands on a second Procaster and it sounded very different to mine so I contacted Rode and they replaced my original one. I have two Procaster mics and 1 Pod Mic. That said, if I ever need a 4th mic I will be getting a PodMic based on price/performance.
Do you think the lesser bottom end of the PodMic can be satisfactorily made up for using EQ, as opposed to the Procaster? I so, so love the look and smallness of the PodMic so hoping to buy it and fatten it up a tad with EQ, in place of buying a used Procaster. Would appreciate your thoughts. @@thebusinessfirm9862 The PodMic looks and sounds really great. It's has a very clear sound. Maybe clearer / less EQ'd than the Procaster but the working Procaster I have now sounds great. I'll try to get a new video up soon so you can hear the difference. If you plan on adding some post-production you could easily beef up the sound or even add an EQ at the time of recording. My suggestion is if you like the proximity effect of the Procaster, just get one of those. :-)
"I converted it to Linux for whatever reason" I did too, but hardware but IOMMU passthrough for my GPU wasn't working with the new Nvidia drivers so I had to switch back. Linux users don't get love man.
