Sends you deaf and go over 60 you'll loose your fillings !! ( joke) Looks lovely. Always makes me smile that you are all there on such a range of bikes. So it's the desire, time and the finance as much as the bike that gives you adventures. Enjoy and ride safe
On the 411 iam done with Pirelli. Worn off really quickly. Then i had Mitas MT 07 great grip but also shown some serious wearing off in hot summer turns. Now the the Heidenau K60 Scout everything seems to work grip wise and with the decay of the rubber.
Hope everyone has a fantastic and safe trip! Looks a stunning location. I just bought those same Rhinowalk saddle bags after I saw Joe Ryan tour Australia and now New Zealand on his RU-vid channel. Look a good bit of kit.
Jeez , sorry to read that. Mostly tinnitus sufferers are in their 60’s . Best wishes mate. (being happy helps - you won’t hear it when you are happy 😃)
I was thinking of ride to Spain, but that may change...never been to the Emerald Isle. India, USA, Europe, Thailand, Mongolia, it is time for a rethink, looking forwards to the next instalment!
Looks fabulous, last time we were on the Ring of Kerry we could hardly stand up in the wind or walk across the car park to get to our vehicle. Always beautiful though. Have a great time.
Great that you're getting the good weather. You can't beat the West coast when it's like that. Hope you get to experience Connemara. Have a great time.
keen to see Priests Leap and Healy Pass... last time i was there Healey was closed, and we ended up trying Priests Leap. My partner chickened out though, and we turned back (and this was in the car).
If you have time - check the headlight mounting position. My test ride and how, when my ordered tubeless himalayan arrives, will always be used on the high seat position. I will then move the headlight up, if possible, copying as they are supplied in India. The mounting bolt appears in the pillar but in India, because the legal need for a front number plate, means their headlights are around two inches higher and those bikes we get, having a hidden second hole visible when viewed from the side. One indian youtuber was complaining that this nut/bolt pillar assembly came loose and the headlight was not secure but it did show the complete unit moving up and down. I hope the raising of the whole assembly will give a little more wind protection for anyone using the higher seat option. Should be easy to test this! Also ordered from ZANA India a set of saddlebag mounting frames, very good price but did take 4 weeks for delivery, just need a bike to fit them to!
Polisport Silencer Heat Shield will maybe sort out your soft luggage meets silencer issue. I have one on my 390 end can , and have big old lomo soft bags hanging down with no problems.
Fantastic and thank you for the informative review of your experience. Any plans to compare this to the CFMoto 450? I ask bc it’s between these two for my small bike. Thanks again.
I am hoping that mine is at the dealership before the end of the month, i want to take it to the ABR festival and experience my first taste of off road (since I was riding bsa bantams over the field at 15). I have listened to your comments on the Himalayan and its short side stand etc, I did test ride it and whilst I will concur that it takes a bit more to heave it up, it does ride well. I have had a CRF250 rally in the past and that was a bit too long, whereas it was nearly upright. I didn’t really get that off road because it was stolen. I was considering getting the tyres changed for something a bit more off road focused, do you have any suggestions other than Pirelli 🤣
