The Sunday Penguin: The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins 

I’m about 200 pages in. When I began, I thought the author was writing the female characters pretty on cue for his time, as weak, feeble-minded. Now, I’m really into Marian’s rage at the power men have over women.

This one is also on my list of books I need to read.

Definitely a book I enjoyed, though I need to read it again. One question, you seem to do an inordinate amount of reading. Would love to see a video on your reading habits, unless you've already made one. I manage about 2 hours a day! 😉👍

I couldn't get in this book but will give it another chance. I liked his Moonstone, maybe I just wasn't in the right mood.

I haven't read this one, but have it somewhere. I didn't know too much about it, but I think I will get to it this summer, sounds like something I would like.

Squeal! One of my favourite books and one of my favourite authors. ❤️ sensation novels. Collins, unlike Dickens, could write women well. I’ve had the same problem with penguin hardcovers that the design rubs off. I should look on the bright side as you do and appreciate their sturdiness. Deb
