Ever since I left Norway, everything I see seems to be about it. Funny how things work. Beautiful country. Beautiful people. Not perfect. But nothing is. And that's why its amazing.
Her performance as Lady Dedlock in the BBC production of 'Bleak House' being just one example of her marvelous evolution. She simply gets better and better.
Couldn't put the book down. Finished it in like 3 days. I hadn't seen the trailer before, so I didn't picture any of these ppl, but now retroactively it's *perfect* casting for Gillian Anderson!
Ah finally a whole movie with Jenny Slate!!! I love her. She deserves so much more exposure. And Anderson seems to be only on figuration in it just FYI. 😅😅😅
Are we supposed to think taking a paid position in picturesque / super awesome Norway is a terrible job or some form of punishment??? Cuz it 100% isn't--sorry. Living and working in Norway is a dream. People would pay money for the chance to do this.
No, I don't think that's really what it's saying. Probably that it's a bit scary to go so far away for a job. Maybe as a metaphor for the dissolution of some of the character's existing personal relationships (breaking up with her boyfriend, her parents getting separated, her sister getting engaged).
You know when you get sucked into watching movie trailer after movie trailer on RU-vid? So, this is like the 10th one I've seen back to back and I'd say I really liked about 7 of them. But - *this one* - feels like a "must see" to me :)
This is one of those films ill forget about, stumble across and watch in about 5 years time and wonder why i didnt see it sooner. Then ill try telling people to see it but they’ll look at me like im an alien.
I'm interested. As a Norwegian this is not my experience of my own country, but it is cool to see a film about an American traveling to Norway for some purpose. I don't think people normally take much notice of us. I think I will watch this.
