This was exactly what I’ve been looking for since the prices for large screen tv stands is outrageous. Us folks with only basic carpenter skills are very appreciative.

This is a valuable addition to my woodwork collection ru-vid.comUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO I still will rate this woodwork plan as the best in my reference library. It always seem to stand out from the rest whenever you go through the library. This is a masterpiece.

I have zero carpentry experience. Don’t even know where to start. What to buy. The tools. Nothing. But I want to teach myself this trade along with plumbing to teach my son one day and this video gave me confidence to even think to start doing it. Thank you for your thoroughness and your channel

Same... went to Home Depot.... they’ll even cut the wood for ya at no cost. Bought everything except the stain and poly. Cost me $108... with the stain and poly would’ve been about $120. The wood was about $53. The floor flanges were about $25. Two boxes of screws almost $20. And the two pipes were like $8 total. With the wood already cut to the sizes needed, you can put the whole thing together in roughly an hour.

Thanks for the great video. It was a pretty easy build for a guy with rather limited skills. I did have a few snags. Most of the boards were not true so I had to add adjustable appliance legs to level it. I had to have the boards cut at the store as my miter saw is not the sliding type. I did not notice that he did not cut 2 of the 2x10 boards to my requested length, so I ended up with 2 at 48 inches and 2 at 47 3/4 inches. I improvised and made it work. I might suggest using a ratchet instead of the stubby screwdriver to attach the pedestal to the base. That made it quite a bit easier. Thanks again

tom jens well, I’m admittedly slow with finishing... literally a couple hours to build it unfinished. For me, I pre stained, stained, and polyurethaned 3 coats. Each takes time to dry, and there’s sanding in there too- that’s why it took me so long. Build one, you’ll love it!

Just finished making it. First woodworking project I’ve ever done in my life. I must say, the video makes it look so easy, but beware it is very time consuming and can have many obstacles a beginner doesn’t think of. Make sure you pick out very flat wood, because one of my pieces was slightly curved and to the naked eye I didn’t pick it up, so I had to figure out how to level the wood. Overall, simple design and anybody can do it if they have patience. Thanks for the video!
@flareeyt2295
@flareeyt2295 3 года назад
how much did the total come too
@jestaman3356
@jestaman3356 3 года назад
@@flareeyt2295 Wood was about $50 for me, rest of the supplies was probably around $30 or so (I have a lot of left over supplies though for other projects now). I'd say depending on what you need between $60-$90 total. That's a really rough estimate!

At last!!! A video that shows you how to build something useful, with out some computer generated voice over or some boring old lectures from some industrial unit/workshop owner kitted out with tens of thousands pounds/dollars worth of machines. Most of us have access to a chop saw and a drill and would be able to build some thing like the unit you just built. Now I am going to check out the rest of your videos see what other gems you have hidden away. Thank you keep up the good work.

2x12s can be fairly pricy and a lot of places will only sell you 16ft pieces, the metal pipe for the top shelf is cheap but the flanges can cost up to $5 ea. Other than that it’s pretty cheap to make and I got it built and stained in about an hour and a half

Also what drill do you recommend in a affordable price that can work with this type of job as well.
