There is plenty of reasons to hate this game. Lack of bosses in one of them.

Yeah ive actually looked up when to start the dlcs, and i knew i was coming back to this level because of it .. is the dlc about the same size of a "normal" game area or is it bigger? ..just wondering in case i want to put it all in a single video

when it comes to performance so far i have no complaints, no crashes or frame drops or anything, loading is fast... its feeling pretty good :)

I like the setting a lot too but these games also have a lot of rough edges which makes me still prefer souls, but they are definitely a very unique experience :D

Actually im kind of struggling with the upgrading, i always feel like i am one level below what i should be for an area, i guess thats normal when youre getting to a new zone but are you suppose to farm materials? Or should you be getting enough just by playing through the level?

@@ruikiri There's advantages to playing by attacking the unarmored portions of the enemies, as they die faster and get stunned, but you don't get any armor schematics or parts that way. So I always found it counter-intuitive to do that. Any time saved killing will be added on later by having to kill more to get materials. So if you aim to always chop off a piece of armor from each enemy, not much farming is needed if you only use one set of armor. Attacking an armored body part also means more hits to kill them so you are able to generate more energy to ensure you get a finishing move. What I usually do is farm the hands at the start of a new area so I can upgrade my weapon, then collect armor material as I move through the level. If you find yourself having difficulty, and the enemy that drops material is close to a Med Bay, then feel free to farm to upgrade your armor. Rather than just telling you what MK each wrecked piece is with text (which would be simpler) they use a color coding system. So like when it tells you that you collected "Wrecked RHINO Head Gear" the background color of the icon on the right of that text indicates the MK level of the crafting material you get from the destroyed pieces of armor. Tan = MK I Green = MK II Blue = MK III Red = MK IV Purple = MK V Weapons alloy crafting material uses the exact same color coding scheme. So keep your eyes peeled for new colors whenever chopping armor off a new enemy or the 2nd time you chop off a new weapon. You should also periodically look through and evaluate the implants you have picked up. That's one of the other things I love about Surge I particularly is you have a lot of freedom to respec with different loadouts as all level up does is provide more power and extra implant slots. If you want to use a ton of your slots for HP healing injections, you are only limited by the amount of them you have collected. Did you buy the full collection bundle with all the paid DLC? If so, I think it's well worth giving up a slot for the Proximity Sensor. It plays a tone that increases in frequency whenever you are close to loot so it will help you find hidden implants. It's also hotswapable (don't have to be at a med-lab to change it out) so you can pull it out and slot in a more combat focused hotswapable implant like X-cables (finishing moves require less energy) or Toxic Autofilter (neutralizes poison gas) if needed.

@@GuardianOwl thank you :D i only now realized you can stack implants xb i was looking for a dark souls healing item upgrade instead of just equipping more injectables xb i killed big sister with only 3 heals and it sucked.. but that boss still feels a little weird anyway...also i destroyed most of my duplicate implants so im kind of screwed :D

​@@ruikiri Whoops :). Ya, if you stack healing injectibles of the same type, you get more. If you mix and match different strengths of healing, you have to flip through them. Alternately, you can focus on implants that help you build up energy (Voltaic Dynamo), keep a minimum amount of energy available in the tank (Rig Capacitor), and use a weapon with high +energy gain % (I believe you got the flaming staff at the end of your recent video, that has he highest energy gain among the staves in the game if you are liking the staves) then use the infinite use injectible(s) that convert energy to HP. As long as you can build up enough energy, you have healing. Referring back to the earlier conversation about upgrades, If you don't mind some spoilers, I have a video on my channel "The Surge: Weapon and Armor Crafting Materials Farming" which shows the earliest locations to farm for upgrade parts and then the later, easiest locations to farm the same parts if you need it. Based on your progress from the previous comment, MK IV is coming up soon, but it's kind of a pain to farm early.

@@GuardianOwl ill definitely check out the video :D i do like the game but theres so much new stuff that sometimes creates confusion and makes some things harder than they should be but its hard to turn off the "Dark Souls Brain" when playing a soulslike.. but the surge is very much its own thing within its genre and has a lot of diffrent mechanics, which is cool but takes some getting used to xb

@@ruikiri it has to respaw like like an normal enemi and you get the parts at luck sometime it drops sometimes it doesnts

hard to say xb i wanted to finish Nexus first, but ive recently deleted all my pcsx2 files by accident while moving it to another disk and so now i have no savegames of anything i was playing there... i will eventually replay Nexus to where i was at aswell as armored core 2, but right now i honestly just dont feel like doing that xb im gonna play the Surge 2 after I Finish the Surge, and then i guess We'll see what happens :D
