I Love Replayable Games and if they have Mod Support too then it's a 10/10!

Dark Souls, Elden Ring and just Soulslikes in General, plus Armored Core and Monster Hunter are some of my favorite Series to Play as they offer almost Infinite Content but I Also enjoy Exploring Different and Hopefully Somewhat Obscure Video Games :D

The Accretion Storm is the red areas on the left and right sides of the clock. Every time the grey circle moves over the yellow one, black hole appears, and certain areas will only be accessible during this time. Usually a small arena with numerous enemies spawning that you enter through a yellow 'fog wall". When the yellow circle crosses the left and right sides is an accretion storm. Everything is much stronger and mini bosses appear like the hooved demons with the staves.

I just wish AC6 had actual running animation. Like, you know, with actual legs, like Evangelion kinda thing. 'Humanoid running' I mean. Sure boosters, thrusters, sliding and stuff is cool, yeah, but totally not my cup of tea. Dunno how many people do share my sentiment, as well as I'm not sure if it is against the very 'core gameplay principles' of Armored Core franchise (or its in-lore shenanigans), but I think adding some variety would never hurt anyone, amirite))

I haven't played this game in about 15 years now and I miss it so much! This was my first Burnout game and I fell in love with it immediately. I have nothing but fun memories of it, playing it with friends too. My only issue was Crash mode. I know many of you like it, but I'm just not a fan of it. Same with Revenge. I also enjoyed that game very much, but Crash mode was the only thing that made me go like "ah.. this again?" Dominator gets some flack because that mode is absent, but honestly, it was a positive for me. Though, after playing Revenge, I wish the game had traffic checking too.

That platforming section man. Oh my fucking god. Like I get it devs do have the balls to make the game as outstanding as possible in its stunning design, and the scale of everything, and the cryptic storytelling, and stuff... But the platforming in this game is a bit too much. It's something that I hate in every soulslike game out there because these games are already punishing enough with their combat and environmental hazards alone, yet devs bring these unnecessarily complicated platforming sections, and I'm just like 'Why? Just... why? What for? Haven't I suffered enough?' I understand that games like The Last Faith can get away with these easily, because platforming plays a huge part in metroidvania-like games, but in 3D space it's just total bs 99% of the times.

the old controls without analoge were the best. it gave you the feeling of a dog fight as people would try to get behind you, it would become a game of who can turn the fastest while keeping on the move. much cooler than the new games where you can turn as fast as you can move your mouse

OMG man, this game, this goddamn game. It does so many things surprisingly well (like those well-timed hits combining into combos, or using the 'bonfire' not actually re-spawning the mobs, or THE DRIP!), however, it's also full of shit sometimes (like hitboxes, bugs, hit animations, and story/pacing). Like, damn, the Yetka questline got me intrigued much more than the main plot story-wise! Her cryptic quotes (like visiting the Rhogar world for the first time, I remember she says it looked familiar like a child's memory, but twisted & broken. What?), and how later on she goes into the Chamber of Lies, and speaks there of immense 'knowledge', and in the end that big demon thing who teleports them both... to where? And what was it even? Dayum, so many questions, so much (wasted) potential. Oh, and the cutscene that happens after every boss defeat - these red things emerging from the bosses' bodies and then hitting Harkyn, and he's coughing blood, and then standing up like he's freaking Duncan MacLeod overflowing with energy (now come to think of it the scene does look like it quite much, wow). UPD: Didn't read through all the comments on all the vids in this playlist (while also writing it down super late), so I apologize in advance but hey there were some excellent game-helping (and not game-breaking) bugs in this game as well: like you could spawn that fire giant thing (forgot what it's called ; UPD: the Prayer) that is aggroing enemies as well as healing Harkyn for a limited amount of time. But! You could cast it, go near it so the healing would start, and then open the inventory or something, ... and go drink some tea, do some things or whatever because as you might recall this game does pause the world around Harkyn when the player opens in-game menu - but that does not stop the healing! I remember I used it a lot instead of drinking the potions and/or restarting afresh to save some time not to destroy the mobs again and again. It still is a super lengthy process, indeed (because the healing speed is OOF tier slow), but I'll take it any day over everything else because it's basically a never-ending healing card. Also, I'm pretty sure someone mentioned it already, but heavier armors provide more stability/poise, thus taking on the beefiest armor plus arming with the heavy 2hander that hits the most, and then casting the Rage (yep, not the Prayer this time) that grants you infinite stamina equals unstoppable killing machine.

ac6 seems like it tries too hard to look cool. the way the camera moves when you fight gives people the feel of speed maybe? but i just get motion sickness lol i would really like to see AC1 demake pvp mods online pvp with the old items

No, i think its just my machineguns whiffing most of the time xb when im close i deal good damage ALTHOUGH since the stats are changed in the armor pieces and weapons it is normal that the balancing feels diffrent from base game :) Also there used to be an optional hardmode that i think eventually just became part of the base mod when it comes to PVE against MTs and Bosses due to how OP the ACs became xb

i know this is 7 months old. but if you're still at it, could you make a mod for old school HUD? i feel like the HUD in AC1 was a lot easier to understand and keep track of. here your hp is hidden in the bottom left corner of the screen instead of being super obvious at the top LEFT of the screen in a bigger font. i swear ps1 games had more game design than ps4...

AC6 actually does have a lot of open/empty spaces or unused spaces, it's just less noticeable as the mission directs you in a way to keep you occupied on objectives or led into the paths of enemies so you aren't bored (too much). If you actually spend time to avoid doing the objectives and explore, there's a lot of unused space. When you're running around in Carla's territory in the Grid (any of those missions), or the Strider mission, a couple examples. The large empty spaces in 4 are primarily for long range NEXT builds and testing environment limits with new software and hardware, plus the boost in speed makes it practically irrelevant. AC6 doesn't deliver on long range builds, if it even exists, as it focuses more on close-range, and making the gameplay feel tighter overall. It also got to experiment with building for PC gameplay, whereas the older gens never did. TL;DR: It's a completely different game that can't be compared in earnest to 4/FA or older gens.

i dont believe texture improvement mod affects armors but if it does, yes it will be replaced by the 4k upscaled armors (assuming you install 4k armor after Tex Improv) because they use the same "slot", but everything else that text improv touches, will still be there

Oh damn. This game took up so much of my time I didn't realize you're on it now. 11:21 I started off as an Archer. Pawns feel like they mostly play as support/sidelines but you can definitely frontline as a Legolas esque Archer. Take the time to understand the controls, what cancels to what and timings. I figured out that if you time your jump kick right, You can land your kick before the Minotaur can land their rush attack and pull off a cool flip shot, once you get the core skill of course, to counter it. Same goes for any enemy next to you to create distance. The running slide shot can consistently go under cyclops crotch when they come at you. Both the jump kick and Dropkick offer good stagger, great for kicking enemies, big or small off ledges or when they are toppling. They have a sick grab attack when you tackle them to the ground or cling on big bosses. Light attack plunges an arrow into them, Heavy does a drop kick launch, which looks cool straight after implanting an explosive shot and triggering it with the kick. When you stand on enemies, you can still aim manually so you can climb on bosses shoulders or backs, when you're on top of them since theres different stages of clinging, and start sniping at enemies from there, or hit a specific part of a big boss that your auto aim wont target. I wish the archer had more skills, maybe a rope arrow like the thief that can pull targets to you or you to them for big bosses.

Some people have reported thar mod engine isnt working for them but dropping everything into your actual install folder works (obviously this is much harder if you by any chance want to play an unmodded version) ..but you can think about it :)

God this game left me conflicted left and right man... On the one hand, the world is gorgeous, the visuals are stunning, the lore & aesthetics are superb and just as I like. But on the other hand the combat feels so weightless, and the animations' forward momentum is all over the place. I feel like I'm skating around instead of hitting (or at least trying to hit) things, this is just awful man. The attacks are fast af, and they don't feel as connected (and commited) as in FROM games, or even The Surge games - the attacks in LOTF23 feel more akin to hack-n-slash games' attacks (or attacks in ARPGs, like Diablo). You know, in games where the attack pattern is more of a hit spam instead of Soulsborne games' more methodical, slow, and commited (and punchier, and weighty!) hits (like in, say, in Lies of P). Like, that encounter at 6:02 illustrates my point perfectly. With all that 'skating' and sliding around hitting enemies becomes extremely frustrating & doesn't feel satisfying at all. And looking at Otto's boss fight just look at his insane tracking of your position, look at his turn speed, and especially look at the way his hits land and his body get pulled right towards your character. Gosh, his attack at 11:00 is just everything wrong with LOTF23 combat in one clip. And just like that, I finished the tutorial and then uninstalled the game, and never touched it again. I felt sooo discouraged and betrayed by the devs, it hurts. I dunno if they patched it to the better state later on, or not, I just stopped caring. To me it felt like all the juice got into pretty graphics (and I admit, UE5 is a stunner here!), but the combat pretty much ruined the game for me. I would even say I prefer the clunky combat from the original LOTF much more compared to this.

The reason it doesn't work for you guys is because this guy showed the wrong way to do it. All these files have to actually go inside the game folder itself. What a painful waste of time.

@@ruikiri Yeah it works if you put those files into the actual "Game" Folder, not outside of it. They work, just not in the way you showed. At least not for me and the version I'm on.

@@ruikiri and in modengine's instructions, it tells you to actually put it in the game folder, though it's not recommended(for whatever reason). Worked for me. Not saying YOU wasted our time but me troubleshooting it was such a painful waste of time.

@@ruikiri Also you can run into issues with Save Files. Modengine defaults to use a new save file, you edit the .ini file "alternatesavefile" set to 0. It'll then use whatever save you want or put in your appdata folder.

All legs can use heavy weapons, they just need to go into ready stance tank is the only one that can use heavy weapons while moving the compromise is weapon arms

i really want to love it... but after two playthroughs the game feels exhausting... the enemy variety/placement and a lot of times lack of staggering makes most crowds harder to control than they should be in most cases.. its one of those games that i remember as cool, because of the visuals and theres a lot of armor and weapons but when i start playing it its like... "oh thats right, this is bullshit... xb"

@@ruikiri it has some major flaws that are undeniable. The lock-on system drives me mad, enemy variety and combat pacing is off. But i think they can build off this base. They have something really cool here that can improved upon a lot in next installments. Also the XP gain scaling is so damn low, you take forever to grind money to buy drip in late game haha. Great content my dude

The Maister up top was a fake, and the skill he gives you is meant to be an insult if you get fooled into believing he was real. Its not even a real Maisters skill, as it has no ring around it and I think you can use it on Warfarer. That said, it does actually have some uses. It does a lot more damage to the enemy than it does to you. I used it on my pawn for a while unironically because I wanted him fire themed. But the one you get from the real Maister is much better.

The tedious traveling is not to encourage buying port crystals. The first game had the exact same system, except without the oxcarts at all.

yeah well, it feels pretty outdated.. its like the game wants to waste your time... its kinda fun the first time you have to take a new road but once you start getting some quests that lead you to places you already visited, the tedium starts to hit :/

@@ruikiri Eh, its a difference of opinion. It encourages you to really explore all of a place and make sure youve found everything you want to do before leaving it, since you dont want to make the trip back for no reason. Plus it gives you a bigger sense of power scaling, because traveling becomes a lot quicker as it becomes easier from you being more powerful. Not to mention finding shortcuts. I really like it personally, even though it can feel rough to find out your quest is taking you across the whole map.

Listen. It's his opinion. Not everybody liked Dark Souls or Armored Core. But theres something that must be considered about Dragons Dogma: Being able to fast travel where ever undermines the loss gauge mechanic. Why would you ever camp and forage and prepare for a trip, if you can fast travel back to town whenever things don't turn out right because of your own decisions? Why get better at the game and your vocation, learning cancels, learning how to make cures for statuses, and combos and strategize your playstyle and avoid damage if you can simply warp out of trouble. The risk is part of the experience. BUT say you don't want to do all that. Maybe you still want to fast travel willy nilly anytime you're in a bad spot. You can still do that with the right set up and some thinking. If you bring a port crystal with you on a trip and still want to go back to town during trips then leave extra ones at towns. Drop the port crystal where you are, use a ferry stone to go to town, Restock or rest, then ferrystone back and pick up your port crystal then continue your adventure. Doing that or going the camping set route takes up about the same amount of space, though you lose out on food bonuses from camping. It may be outdated but before fast travel, there wasn't a lot of radiant encounters either to make traveling more spicy. Fast travel was to minimize the player being bored from just walking everywhere. When you have things to encounter, things to challenge you randomly, radiant quests to save civilians and rewarded for saving them, later on with the Trickster and getting the coin finder augment gives you more incentive to hunt down the coins to gain the rewards from the guild, more time to be fighting things, fighting things upgrades your vocation for you to learn more, getting their drops helps you upgrade your armor and weapons. You literally gain more from traveling. You can always run if you can't win a fight, unlike in Dark souls where about every boss you encounter is a gate keeper to the next area in some form, which isn't bad, just different All this to say, Dragons Dogma is just going through the ringer for it's different approach much like Dark Souls did. People were pretty harsh on that game for being provokingly hard but eventually enough people learned they can't get enough of it and now we're waiting on Elden Ring's DLC. Dragons Dogma had so much potential back then and now that Itsuno has a better position build on DD I can't wait to see where this goes.

You know, now that I re-watched the campaign I actually like the story more than I did on my initial playthrough back then. I still believe the tonal shift apart from the first game was WAAAY too much (and it didn't feel gradual at all), but now I kinda embrace & appreciate the religious context & meaning of things in TS2 much better, instead of rejecting it off as I remembered it. After all, the message the game tries to tell, is quite powerful & resonating. I would even say it has some optimistic vibe to it, like if there is still some hope left out there, no matter the odds (compared to more melancholic & gloomy feel found in the original game). Yeah, I can definitely appreciate the story much more now, it's quite solid. Thank you for this brilliant playthrough! P.S. Ah, yes, the Kraken DLC. I think it's good actually. I would say it's as short as Walk in the Park was in TS1 (at least for me, those never felt as big as, say, Dark Souls 3 DLCs, or even Dark Souls 2 DLCs), but it's fine, I had much fun playing it nonetheless.
