The demon doesn’t look that scary. It looks far too generic for an anime demon lol. Also helps that the art style makes the show have a more childish feel to it, despite being rated 13+

@@ComplexOri he doesn't look scary, but the way he acts and his size makes him absolutely scary, they way he appears after king bosse dies at his bed just pointing and then laughing with his deep a$$ voice and just disappear again. Was absolutely frightening. Not as a horror movie fear, but the confusion to me knowing absolutely nothing about him was the scary part

I agree! It gave me literal chills. It kind of gave a little take on the author's perspective on hell and punishment. This anime looks like it's out of a children's book, (illustration wise) but goes way deeper. Definitely slept on by many.

@@shuhaymahhasan9659 Yeah, realistically no one deserves something like “Hell”. Most people live 70-80 years (give or take) which already feels like an extremely long time. Now imagine living forever, but also pair that with suffering. There's nothing you could do on your minuscule time on earth that would warrant infinite suffering.

I find it weird that people think Bosse x Miranjo is about love, when Bosse never defines her as a Lover when Bebin asked him. Also I think Miranjo's promise to devil is a simple one, like "Not to leave him" or something.

The thing about their love though is that it’s understood that more than everything and everyone else they love each other the most. Bosse loves Miranjo more than he did any of his wives and even his children, and you can see that in how he explains his feelings about things. He found joy and happiness with his family but it’s only with Miranjo that he acknowledges affection and love. It makes them so Shakespearean, or like The Notebook, how much they love and value one another. I have a hard time accepting that Bosse’s love is purely platonic but I also can’t fully call it romantic either. It’s somewhere between there, and that’s the same for Miranjo but she leans more to romance.

@@shanika4160 Bosse can still love Miranjo more than anyone else without it being romantic. There are plenty of parents who will easily state they love their children more than their romantic partner. And anyways no one type of love is inherently stronger/greater than another. Considering that all the descriptors Bosse used for Miranjo and none of them were ones with romantic implications combined with the fact that Bosse knew Miranjo since she was child and was effectively her only parental unit/guardian after Miranjo’s mother was killed, I think trying to interpret Bosse’s feelings for Miranjo as romantic in any way is not only counter to the text’s themes but also creates some creepy implications in the realm of wife-husbandry, which while Bosse is a morally compromised character, he isn’t framed to be morally compromised in that specific regard.

@@TheoVorster I get where you’re coming from but in my interpretation I feel like the love they share is something in between familial/platonic and romantic. Edit: So upon seeing the newest episode I can agree with you more. From all the depictions up till Ep 21 i felt like it could be somewhere in between but seeing Bosse’s memories cements the familial love for me.

@@shanika4160 With Bosse he definitely views her as a daughter but with Miranjo it’s between familial or romantic. I would find it weird if it was romantic from his part since he’s known her as a child.

It’s probably more that Bosse wasn’t moving fast _specifically_ in Bojji’s perception. We saw how fast he could swing vs Ouken, and also saw that Bojji was fully restored from previous fight fatigue in the previous episode.
