Music has always been a key element within the vibrant universe of Splatoon. For the franchise's latest expansion, Side Order, the Splatoon team looked to music theory to name the game's newest enemies and establish a cohesive theme with some hidden meaning. In this video essay, I dive into the musical names of each Jelleton and explore some potential reasons that they earned their names.
Please note that I have decided to simplify some musical terms for the purpose of this video, but there is still enough detail for viewers with any amount of musical experience to understand.
This is my first video essay! Please let me know how you liked it in the comments!
