The subtle details (like Bernie’s hands popping into the shots of Slavoj, and the water glass in front of Slavoj’s hands) are incredible, and really help sell this. Seriously, top tier editing skills all around.
I met Zizek in my hometown last year in February, where he held a lecture, and when I asked him a question, I referred to a friend of mine as „a leftist, but mein Gott, not a complete idiot“, and Zizek laughed out loud, saying „I see what you did there, and you are right; it goes both ways. Stay centred, avoid the fringe.“ I thought he‘s on-stage persona is a gig, but it’s not. He‘s the same once the cameras are turned off. No filter. But his ticks take a break. It’s as if he’s suffering from stage fright.
So impressive. Amazing how the conversation weaved together so well. I always get so excited when I get a notification that a new one of these videos has uploaded. I only have post notifications for like 3 accounts and this is one of them
That’s actually his interpretation of the movie though. He says the iceberg saves Rose from the “real disaster” that a relationship with DiCaprio’s character would be (because of how socially incompatible they are) and lets her keep this idealized perfect vision of what could have been. The sinking of the ship saves her from committing social suicide by getting into an actual relationship with him.
@@Sphynra i mean… your half right; you have an okay summary. he gave what he referred to as an altered imperialist myth of upper class sucking the lower class for vitality via contact-later to rejoin upper class afterwards in his interpretation. if they never ran into the iceberg, the romance would pitter out in a few weeks. the difference in this ai parody skit is that zizek is actually using that myth in support of sucking and throwing aside the lower class against bernie 🤣
When I saw the thumbnail and the title for a moment I was soo excited. The conversation between this two would be legendary, and I would pay to be able to listen to that
@@chrik9105 yes! I recognize Charly Rose’s table and set, but that also could’ve been AI. The fact that it isn’t is much more interesting and transcendent. Thanks
Sanders trying to stay calm and explain a policy as Zizek jumps in with : "Wi al zaw Jams Cameroun's TitAnik" This isn't just good editing in the technical sense, but brilliant in the narrative choices as well.
I have a slow connection so while I was waiting for this video to load I thought about how a conversation between Bernie and Zizek would go and this was pretty much it.
If you have studied political sciences, this conversation is exactly what happens in the bar of the University between students. There is always one pragmatic and humble about his knowledge and another one who is just there to boast about how much he’s read. You either one or the other.
This is just so impossible I knew it had to be fake, but throughout the video I was constantly questioning it. Zizek's way of explaining things was also spot on, especially the cinematic references and analysis.
Great idea for these videos and great work that was put in it! It would be great if you give links in the description of the actual interviews of the people involved.
Is this AI? This looks like one of those fake edits that makes it look like they're talking to each other. This is so surreal. Edit : oh my god it is, your editing skills are impeccable
2 of 2: *This is how you always need to vote:* We must fully resist and _always vote_ against (& less authoritarian than) both the Democratic *and* Republican Parties- including Trump, Vivek Ramaswamy, Rand Paul (He’s _no_ Ron Paul), Warren Davidson, Ron Johnson, and all other Republicans. For _all_ public positions. And this same strategy applies against the same one or more party-monopolies in _all_ countries worldwide. Real libertarians will never be Republicans or Republican loyalists. Never vote for _any_ Democratic member or loyalist either. You can always _write-in_ an anti-authoritarian person if no candidates for a position fit that bill. This will continuously reduce the power of _all_ authoritarian parties in the party monopolies. Until our task is complete. Repeat strategy for all new authoritarian parties that emerge.

I thought, what the hell is this. Then I had a great idea: READ THE DESCRIPTION: "THE TALK: Conversations that never took place between people who never met." Well done, people
OH MY GOD!!! My supid ass, actually practically for all of this video thought, that this the real conversation between Slavoj and Bernie! Even remark from Zizek about Stalin's love for the USA prevebted from seeing me the Truth!
