B1M, please stop offerring praise for Egypt. It's capital city is horribly designed and severely anti-human, and it's being built not for the purpose of development, but so that the military and government won't have to face the population, who are in severe need of help and rehabilitation. Have you not seen the last election? Sisi rigged it and even went on to threaten politicians into quittting the election, such as the usage of a sex tape to scare off one (Ahmed Shafik).
@@guynxtdork even if it’s generic or stereotypical in sound every region has music common to the area, from the instruments used, to the chords, and tempo. Etc etc. You can differentiate between a 90s west coast rap beat and a 90s East coast rap one in a few seconds easily.
There is a 475m skycraper called RISE Tower being built in Monterrey Mexico. It is said to be the tallest skyscraper on Latin America taking the throne off his neighbor Torre TOP. The current height of the building could be modified during the construction process to exceed the 500m mark
0:40 Ciel Tower, Dubai 1:32 270 Park Avenue, NYC 3:36 Iconic Tower, Cairo 4:33 308 Exhibition Street, Melbourne 5:45 Jinmao International Financial Center, Nanjing Personally think this is basically listed weakest to best, though might switch round the Iconic and 270 Park.
For me 270 Park is just too big. It's a nice design, but i think it would be better scaled down a little bit. I think there's just something nice about the simplicity and symmetry of the Jinmao
As someone who lives in Melbourne, it's been rather cool seeing the development of the skybridge building, having seen it when it was still being built to a few months back seeing it finished is really cool to see.
The professionalism behind your videos it's amazing and so enjoyable to see. Thanks for your hard work and for keeping it free for anyone who's interested in.
could you do an episode on the Messina strait bridge in Italy now that works are set to begin in the summer of next year? the implications of building such a bridge are just incredible
there is also supertall building at indonesia at 385 meter height and still under progress, the tower itself called the autograph tower located at jakarta
I've seen drawings of 270 Park, and while it tries to harken back to an arc deco style of yesteryear, I felt they could've gone further with the design. Most surprised that there were no setbacks on the front-back of the building and only the sides. The most interesting part of it's design is the base, and how it transfers the loads underground and past the subway lines/tunnels.
270 Park Avenue, NYC - This project Foster + Partners is incredible !!! 😍 What a monumental building! 423 meter is a very desirable high in this place of Manhattan, i think. Cheers from Warsaw, Poland
There’s a lot of ~300m towers being built in Toronto Like there is one that will beat the Canadian building record but after it’s finished another will beat it and there are some that are close behind
great video, what i got from it though was how quick , ex tallest building in the world Taipai 101 has plummeted to not be even in the top 10 now. love that building
Brazil is building the Tallest Residential builing in the world called Triumph Tower (490m) in the coastal city of Balneário Camboriú, where Neymar recently purchased a $10M 4 story penthouse
Craziest thing to me was that a $39M aud (24M Eur) was the most expensive apartment ever sold in Melbourne vs Barcelona where they recently just sold a 40M Eur apartment. Average salary in Barcelona is like 5 times lower than Melbourne lol
Melbourne average income is about 53k USD compared to Barcelona 41k usd... roughly. And the average wage has no impact on the top end of the property market
supply and demand, Melbourne has a lot more skyscrapers compared to Barcelorna, so they have to keep it competitive pricing for people to actually consider it. Plus the area the Melb skyscrapers in are just known for full of tall buildings, they aren't in traditionally affluent area like the Spanish one at.
Housing in Melbourne is expensive compared to Barcelona, so the average person has more money tied up in property over their lifetime. It's easier to be an entrepreneur in Barcelona than Melbourne.
It’s not crazy, the Barcelona one is a luxury duplex which will most likely be sold to a foreign millionaire probably Russian or middle eastern. Melbourne is full of skyscrapers everywhere whereas there aren’t many luxury high rises in Barcelona, making it more expensive.
My uncle actually lives on a 87th floor of a skyscraper near the ciel tower he showed at the start of the video. I stayed at his apartment over the summer and it’s pretty cool but also the wind currents are crazy if you go onto the balcony.
It will be one of the tallest buildings in Germany outside of Frankfurt. And Hamburg has also been exceptionally strict when it comes to hights of buildings and has not really know for skyscrapers. Also the development of soil close to the coast can sometimes be tricky. And on top I’d also find it cool to see my hometown being featured 😂
@@AndyGneiss I see. I just visited the site of the architectural firm and basically this tower is the final touch to the project "harbour city" with the philharmonic at the one end and this tower at the other and they supposed to close it. I have visited this area and it consists mostly of offices, so for investors i guess it's good, but no one really lives there, so I don't know
Can we get a video on the most green cities that already exist. Or can we get a video on 5 or 10 upcoming green projects that aren't pipe dreams or just water wasting projects.
Also, since I assume you live in Melbourne, it might interest you to know of a 200 meter tall building being constructed in Box Hill. This will be far and away the tallest building in Melbourne that far out from the CBD.
@@lovecraftianwalrus4490 yeah demolition is happening in late 2023 because the size of this project it’s taking awhile then it will officially start in 2024 construction and complete in 2029 for sthbnk towers
the location of the apartment is in one of the most beautiful views in the city, and considering the penthouse takes over a whole floor, it would have views of the city at every corner. Melbourne is beautiful and i’m so proud to live here
You should do a video on Alberni by Kengo Kuma in Vancouver, really unique building and construction. Also a video on Dialogues new timber construction method that can reach super high would be fascinating and interesting to see your take
308 exhibition is called Sapphire by the Gardens with the gardens being Carlton Gardens, Parliament Gardens, and to an extent Treasury and Fitzroy Gardens.
JPM tower is starting to become visible from the skyline on the Jersey side. Have to say I’m excited to see how it’ll turn out. It’s the best design since WTC
What about instead of getting rid of old cruise ships, make them into modules, then build them into a tower of sorts... shipscraper? No? Ridiculous? Well on account of shit falling from out if its levels at least change the burj Khalifah to to shitscraper
I was wondering what building it was in Melbourne, looked like the one from the news about McLaren lifting. Hehe turns out it's the same one and they even put that in the video.
Why would you say 270 Park Ave is the comeback building for that area? What about One Vanderbilt and 425 Park Ave, 350 Park Ave, and the newly planned 175 Park Avenue?
